Stefán Karl Stefánsson, who played Robbie Rotten on Lazy Town, has pancreatic cancer

Only Stephanie has had two actors; three if you count the unaired pilot. Sportaflop is one guy since he's the creator/producer (which explains a lot, I suppose).

Maybe scratch those first parts. I don't even know what's real anymore.

'Everything is hurting right now' I dunno if it has anything to do with the illness but I'm mega depressed now

Sportaloon has two actors too, since the creator felt he was getting too old to play the part.
Huh, you're right; damn it's hard to find info on this show.
Did he appear in the show?

it's literally on the wikipedia page
it's literally on the wikipedia page
Without any source or details. I meant in general.
To my understanding, if it was benign, they would have just called it a (benign) tumor. Calling it cancer directly implies it's, y'know, cancerous.
Ah, I see. For some reason I always thought cancer itself was a type of tumor. There are so many words I just can't keep up with. I've heard "cancerous tumor" before, so I guess a tumor doesn't have to be.

Generally speaking, cancer is a more advanced product of the processes that make (benign) tumors. You have a change in the DNA of a few cells that breaks some regulatory process, either for growth control or DNA copy correctness. If the wrong regulatory process breaks, you end up with rapid growth in this independent rogue line of cells, potentially with each successive generation more broken than the last.

I feel as though the reason for this is because, despite being filmed in English, most detailed info is still in Icelandic, the language of the country where it is filmed in. I had to look up the new actor's name to find info- on DeviantArt, of all places. If you don't want to click that link, here's the direct video source below (in Icelandic, turn on English captions):

First memes saved Rick Astley from becoming yet another forgettable singer.
Now memes saved a man from cancer.
What's next?

Dollars don't cure cancer, as it happens. The survival rate for this kind of cancer is about as low as they come as far as I know.

i feel like people are misunderstanding what the fundraiser is about. the operation for his cancer already happened, it was apparently successful as he's planning to go back to work in a year. the money is to assist in paying the medical bills and help him and his family survive until he'll be able to start working again.
Every time this is bumped and pops up in the popular tab, I assume he died or something, can you guys not.

I was just about to post that too.

But you just posted that you wanted to post about what he posted, therefore bumping the thread even more.

By like 3 minutes sure.
Doesn't count as a bump if it's only 3 minutes before the last post.

With how fast SH moves from time to time that could move it from page three to page one. Not saying it did this time but it has happened before. Fast Threads is, IIRC, the only faster moving subforum on Facepunch.
nah lads 2016 is over no people will die anymore ever chill
Now everyone looking at popular threads will think he died. We do gods work
I don't know why but watching the video where they sing We Are Number One live, he reminds me of Steve Jobs... that same sweater and they have similar diseases (did Jobs have pancreatic cancer?)... I hope he gets rid of it (although not entirely possible afaik), and make us all laugh again (I just discovered the memes)

wow great job you ass, rip
Can some mod change or update the title, because every timr it gets updated I thought something terrible happened
He does have cancer, but he's not just going to die anytime soon. I don't know how realistic it is, but he is optimistic about an eventual full recovery.
Sorry for bumping this thread but just an update, his condition has worsened (which is why there is now a huge amount of Lazytown memes recently) and not a lot of people know about it.

I understand that this sub forum used to be Sensationalist Headlines when this thread was posted, could a mod please move it to the new SH?
Thread moved and fucking hell this man can't get a break can he?
Reading this thread now with the rating changes makes it seem like we all are very excited about this guy's cancer and I feel bad for finding it a little funny
Pancreatic cancer is the literal worst.
