Pancreatic cancer is a bitch, and there's about a 1/10 survival rate for it.

Ah fuck man, I didn't want to cry tonight.
Wow her post about Stefan is truly heart breaking and heart warming at the same time. Goddamn.
Please no. I seriously hope Stefan will be okay.
Please no. I seriously hope Stefan will be okay.
If he does have Cholangiocarcinoma there are no curative measures, primarily because it is often detected late and aside from removing the tumours that's all you can do, the care is simply pallative there is no curative options. It's very rare which is why it's so under researched. What matters is that he knows, his family knows and they can make the most of their time together.
People have kicked terminal cancer in the arse before, you can do this man.
we should do a Facepunch mini fund and donate it on behalf of the forum.
Update 13 has been posted to the GoFundMe, so it's official now.
Friends and supporters, This is the update I never wanted to write. During moments of distress and heartache, time can become a friend and ease us down the road from our pain. Our hearts become a little lighter and we allow ourselves to hope. But as many of you know, cancer has its own agenda. Stefan's post-surgery diagnosis revealed devastating news - his condition has progressed to Stage 4. As his wife Steina said, "life expectancy is significantly impaired." Despite the best efforts of his excellent Icelandic medical team, and Stefan's personal heroism, there is no apparent cure. There are always experimental processes, and they will be woven into the fabric of Stefan's care if at all possible. But for now and the immediate future, family and friends are concentrating on being positive, giving Stefan whatever he needs to recover from his most recent surgery, and regain his energy for as long as possible. He is an extraordinary man - do I need to tell you that? He is moving beyond fear to a courageous and practical frame of mind. He has plans for several projects which I am certain will delight his fans worldwide. And so I come to the part of this message where I put on my fundraising hat. You have all been so generous and kind these past few months, as our running total will attest. Can you do more? It's hard to ask, but that is my job and I'm going to keep asking until people start throwing rocks at me. I want us to raise a staggering amount so that Stefan will not have to bear the additional worry of his family's future, at least in the short term. Thank you for your kindness and your concern for our friend Stefan.
I think it's great that people want to donate to a good course, but maybe consider donating to cancer research or some other charity that helps victims of cancer? I can't imagine that Stefan's wife and kids will, despite the loss they're facing, be under serious threat of poverty or the like, and there are many other families and people equally deserving of support - cancer doesn't just impact celebrities, it impacts everyone. A contribution to a charity in his name wouldn't be any less of a tribute.

Cancer runs in my family (My aunt is battling it, I've lost a grandmother to it already) so I've come to learn how much they mean to people in the long term.
This year sucks, man.
People are telling me he just passed away but I can't find any sources. Hoping it's not true and he still has a little time left to take in the support
I see some tweets saying RIP but many are replying saying no official news sources have come out yet. I'd give it a while to confirm.
People are telling me he just passed away but I can't find any sources. Hoping it's not true and he still has a little time left to take in the support
Might be a shitty new meme. I see memorial threads for him on 4chan every day.
He liked a post less than 9 hours ago, and there's nothing on his wife's page. It's easy to be reminded of rumors that were true, but this is just disrespectful. People say it since he's about to die, so others assume he's dead now. [editline]edit[/editline] Now it's trending on twitter, but he's still alive: [T]https://i.imgur.com/xQs44jM.jpg[/T]

Depressing, but not especially surprising. It's rarely the case that metastasized cancer is ever truly wiped out. Here's hoping tough that he beats the shit out of this occurrence of cancer as badly as the last.
Updated the OP, though in hindsight I should've included dates for each edit. While it isn't surprising, as Mae said, it really is sad to hear about this. But he's done it once already, and can surely do it again!
