Filthy Frank announces book, end of YouTube series

So has anyone bought this book yet? Is it any good? All the reviews are just memes on Amazon so far and I am seriously considering buying this. Not sure if I want it in paper back or hard cover.
It's pretty much implied that the Youtube series is ending when he says "acting it out in videos would not have done it justice."
I think it's cool that he's turning it into a book. I won't get it, because my attention span is too fucked for books nowadays. But I hope I can get a cool summary sometime down the line.
Mate you have a flickr profile liked to your FP account. You must be a true authority on what is ~art~ huh?

Flickr links are how you validate/link your account on FP discord.
I still dont see where he says hes ending the youtube series?
Announcement video will probably shed light on this
He was extremely anxious about people disliking his music or hating it on principle because it wasn't Filthy Frank
Well to be honest I'm pretty much in that boat, but "hate" is probably too strong a word for me to describe it. His music videos are well done, but I'm pretty ambivalent toward the music overall.
I found the channel because of the comedy videos and pink guy "pranks" in public, and human ramen and shit like that, and that's what I really liked to see. When he posted music videos, I usually wouldn't watch them for weeks or months, and when I finally did I'd just go "eh it was ok"
I think this is a good call. He has a talent in music and pink guy will live on through books or even music. He's got contacts and 88rising so I wish him well
I think this is a huge mistake on his part, but I can see why hes doing it. Youtube isn't a place where his type of content can survive anymore. The lore was only there as something to tie the jokes together, so I don't see the book doing very well . Not to mention a lot of what made Filthy Frank funny was done visually and through audio. Stuff like the Naruto run, him breaking character, Rant videos, Japanese 101 and him interacting with people on the street just wont work in a book. I can see people picking it up as a novelty but nothing else.
he could definitely have probably picked up a job as a comedian or something
In my opinion the content went a bit shit just over a year ago. The guy clearly wasn't interested anymore and there weren't really any funny new ideas for the channel. It sounds bad but he should have ended it sooner and it would have been ended as a legendary channel. Saying that I still give both the guy and his channel massive rates for the amount of effort he still managed to put into it.
the book has a publication date of 9/11 :v: :v: :v: :v: :v:
Does Filthy Frank actually have a cohesive story? I always thoughT he was just making shit up as he went along because it was funny.
Goodbye, My Sweet Prince
you'll be in our chromosomes always.

Filthy Frank has deepest lore.

It does have a timeline & lore but I'm pretty sure he pulls most of it out of his ass in the moment and then just runs with it, so a book is probably a good idea to set the record straight on a few, uh, inconsistencies. :vs: Like the whole chromosomes thing as a measure of time.
Can't believe I've been following since his first week. It's like watching a son grow up to become a God
I’m actually kind of bummed out. I loved his YouTube series. Especially the story videos.

Maybe it's like Metro bullets in that it's a unit that measures multiple things.
Nobody has still found any direct evidence that the filthy frank show is over.
Aka its not over, like he said himself on twitter.
Kind of disappointing that he just wants to continue with his nihilistic schtick. We get it, you die and nothing matters; stop continuing to act like a teenager.
The fact that you see displaying sad emotions, the fear of death and nihilism as a youthful mindset that you grow out of shows your complete ignorance in the topics and inability to understand and accept them.
the way i interpret it, the book is there to finish the story in a way that shittily edited videos cant,, like with frank defeating chin chin and shit like that.
doesnt mean hes done with filthy frank or pink guy or anything, just done with that storyline.
Good on him for bringing it to a close and moving on to bigger things. Calling it quits now helps us appreciate him more.
I started reading the book. It's pretty decently written although obviously one big meme. It's worth a read as it's just as surreal as the videos.

Here's the update video, although I still don't see anything about cancelling the youtube show
Guys, there's no direct evidence that this book release signals the end of Filthy Frank. If anything, it shows that he's still committed to making these videos.
Lmao should be good
wonder if the book will be as bad as the videos
Same. I remember seeing him when the whole Frank personality was still only emerging. He was a lot more awkward and not quite as willing to just sperg all the way out. Btw according to the lore, that was the REAL Franku. Fake Frank took over and ran the series for the majority of the duration IIRC, until the real one reemerged.
I think it is interesting to note that while the series started as a mixture of retardation and humor, as time went on and he settled into his character, along side growing support and a fanbase, George actually matured into a rather interesting and creative character. The cinematography and production value of his later videos is really rather good, while at the same time parodying the whole "deepness". That is, while he's not outright being a retard again.
He also produces sick beats. I get while a part of the community wanted "real Joji music" and I totally get why that rubbed him the wrong way. There's no "real music". Papa Franku just does his own shit.

Doesn't he buy his beats and only make the lyrics and vocals?
Note to self: Don't fuck with scary looking Peace Lords.

Hm, haven't heard of him buying them. Maybe he does, in which case all credit to the producers. I'm aware he has a handful of collaborating producers to produce beats for him, notably Layo.
