Justice League Could Lose A Buttload Of Money For Warner Bros

Did anyone watch this film? It was actually not bad at all- the development could've been done slower since it seemed rushed, but it was not a bad film by superhero film standards at all. My friend said he enjoyed it more than Thor 3 (which I have not watched). I don't watch superhero films often, but I quite enjoyed it anyway. Not completely original, and falls into superhero generic plot/save the day successfully thing but it's not bad by any means.
I really didn't like the direction MoS/BvS was taking, but after watching Justice League it made me really wish they doubled down on it, if not just to provide something Marvel already isn't. Justice League felt like a real mess in comparison to the other two movies. While I don't like BvS, I'm sooner going to rewatch that than I am Justice League.
The humour didn't land for me. The plot felt confused and rightfully butchered. Steppenwolf is a joke villain - how do you out do Marvel in the field of generic, forgettable villains? The production wasn't nearly as bad as Suicide Squad but in terms of actual technically competent films, I think Justice League is only just a tiny bit ahead of Suicide Squad in that regard. When I was walking out of the theater I actually had an urge to rewatch MoS/BvS, just to get more of the themes and visuals that Zack Snyder was at least consistent with.
But what was it that wonderwoman did so well over the rest?
They copied captain america instead of Buffy season 6
The problem i have with this kind of statement is Superheroes are incredibly vaguely defined things that can range from characters like The Punisher to Hellboy to Superman. Its not even really a genre, its a sort of vague description of a character within a work of fiction.
Its not the subject of the movie thats the problem, its the execution.
Honestly the whole concept is extremely played out imo
No superhero movie after tobey maguire spiderman should've been made

What concept?
Its such an incredibly vague thing. Nobody i've asked can come up with a clear cut definition. Like i said, The Punisher, Hellboy, and Superman can all be considered Superheroes, but they're vastly different in tone, style, abilities, appearance, and genre.
a lot of those problems could be chalked up to it being directed by 2 people, with whedon doing some reshoots but keeping some parts snyder left in for budget reasons
Absolutely, but it highlights why switching formats was a bad idea. At best, they could have mimicked a Marvel movie, and given us more of the same. At worst, which is where we're at, they butcher their biggest movie title.
Now if the next movies go on to be jovial fun times, there's going to be a very jarring disconnect, and if they decide to continue with Zack Snyder's themes, then Justice League was an awful disaster when it was meant to be one of their biggest hits.

They really shouldn't have made westerns after the first few.
They really shouldn't have made heist films after the first few.
Science Fiction as a genre was dead after Metropolis in 1923.
Can you be more stuck up

Welp that makes two of us but it's your fault in a way :P
Was hoping there was a new figure showing they did in fact lose a buttload of money.
What are the updates?

Worldwide: $487,966,230

if the guys calculations are correct for $600m they are still losing money
[editline]30th November 2017[/editline]
and the guy seems to presume they will make about $535mil if they make their projection of $635m for box office gross, which they aren't even near yet.
Wonder how long the projection was for
They got just over half their budget in domestic gross.
If there's one movie I really shouldn't be saying that about, you'd think it'd be a Justice League movie.
While I am a little fatigued by the Marvel Cinematic Universe; I cannot say that any of the ones I saw were bad and I quite enjoyed Thor: Ragnorak, Spider-Man Homecoming, and Guardians 2. The trailer for Infinity Wars has also managed to get me excited. I don't think the bubble is popping anytime soon, especially if they do decide to get more weird/varied stories.
Hoping one day we get DC movies that on par with the Nolan Batman movies again.

Honestly anime should've never been made after the first.
Cough cough.
