The only way to avoid wind chill is to dress up like a Counter-Strike CT. Full-on balaclava and goggles.
This isn't a joke, btw. [t]http://i.imgur.com/BbKNtXy.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/JPswJKP.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/O1kyUcJ.jpg[/t]
-30C is when the outer layer of my jacket starts to freeze and sound like paper crinkling every time I move
This isn't a joke, btw. [t]http://i.imgur.com/BbKNtXy.jpg[/t]
I had to dress like this one day during a wintery storm where I live some years back. Only difference was that the wind was so strong that I needed snow goggles as well to get anywhere :v:
I work in a freezer at work that's kept at -15f/-26?c and I can't imagine it being that cold everywhere god damn. [editline]1st January 2018[/editline] I'm also in a weather group in Facebook and they've been monitoring weather stations in northern Canada watching for any arctic air coming our way. There's a couple stations that haven't seen above -50(c/f does it matter?) in a month.
My eyelashes legit froze while walking to work, I only arrived here five months back from the UK. Weird thing is my Canadian workmates wear their hoodies indoors and I'm just in a shirt, I come from Wales though it's windy and we haven't discovered fire or electricity.
We've been getting -26C here in Minnesota, that's not outside the usual for during the winter. However, it usually doesn't get this cold until late January. When it's this could you can literally blow bubbles and watch them freeze in mid air.
My hands hurt from the cold after recording this
I'm poor white trash, so I'll keep that in mind for such time that I am no longer poor, trash, and/or white.
I bought my coat for $60 on clearance about 5 years ago. It's artificial leather, not the real thing but acts as such. Though it was super fricken expensive at the time, I still wear it every day from September to April for the past years and it's still in great shape. Think of it as an investment instead of an expensive item in the moment. The better you treat it, the better it will treat you in the long run.
Here in Saguenay we were officially colder than the fucking North pole last week at -40 Celcius with windchill.
God I wish it would just hurry up and start snowing already. Hali's had like two small flurries and that's it. At least if it's snowing the weather's usually a little milder and also the wind FUCKS OFF
