Nintendo's on the way out guys
[t]https://i.imgur.com/mFbGakD.png[/t] Yes, I get it Mr. Kuchera, if not so supply constrained in Japan they could have a big lead in sales. Why didn't your editor make you change the title though? Oh, right, clicks.
Honestly, WWHD and TPHD are incredible improvements over their originals, and I'm just talking about for speed runs either, at least WWHD is. Having those 2 and a Skyward Sword HD would be incredible. Especially if SSw gets nice QoL improvements the other HD games got.
I agree, and I truly hope they re-release it for the Switch. Really, they only need to re-release a couple more of the Wii U games and there's literally no reason to have one anymore.
I just need that one game that pushes me over the line, I played on the device once and it plays pretty nicely and i'm willing to get the console but the games are just not interesting enough to get it.

The first title is hardly negative, and it does nothing to contradict the second so...?
Cross posting some interesting trivia about Odyssey sales from the Nintendo thread:
For added context of how insanely good those Mario Odyssey numbers are, Mario Odyssey has only been released for a few months and is already nearing the total sales numbers of Mario Galaxy at 12.76 million. Mario Galaxy was also the 9th best selling Wii title for what that's worth.

Doesn't Nintendo have enough raw cash to survive for like decades
I think this is mostly true, but my understanding is that a huge chunk of their cash is in real estate. Could be wrong on that.
Not surprised at all that the Switch beat out the Wii U so easily, the early game lineup alone is more than enough to satisfy most people. Can't wait to see what else comes out on it, hopefully I'll actually own a Switch by then :v: [editline]31st January 2018[/editline] The concept of soon playing Dark Souls on a Nintendo console is still blowing my mind lol
Still waiting for a Switch Animal Crossing game to be announced before buying
i don't get it... i've not heard one person talking about the switch... not see one person posting about the switch (cept this post)... not seen one person playing the switch... not seen one switch in anyones' house... where are these switches hiding (genuinely). Maybe they just flopped in the UK.
You can't talk about a flop in your country when the console isn't even a year old.
You can't talk about a flop in your country when the console isn't even a year old.
I think the Wii U and the Dreamcast both prove that wrong.
I think the Wii U and the Dreamcast both prove that wrong.
Wii U had 5 weak years. It had a weak start, a weak middle and a weak ending. The Switch has already outsold it in just 10 months. The ongoing craze about it may still infect UK. Don't know anything about the Dreamcast.
Could we get a Xenoblade X port to the switch? I missed out on the WiiU and like the idea of an open world game with transforming mechs.

That doesn't mean they sold anywhere close to each other.

Definitely seems like one of the more probable ports.
I bought a switch just to play Zelda on. I played Mario Odyssey at Target and got that too. I wanna get overcooked next. Still waiting for a good RPG/Handheld style Pokemon game and not an arcade fighter
Not really surprised tbh. With a stronger list of exclusive titles and with a proper target audience the Switch was bound to surpass the Wii U in sales. It just did it early.
well, i spend my time in diversified locations and would have thought i'd see one by now just by the laws of probability
Well, it's definitely not a flop. It's breaking records in every country except for UK. News just came out: 700.000 units so far and passed the Wii U sales long time ago.
Nintendo has always done better with mobile gaming sales than their dedicated home consoles, I'm really not that all surprised.
Nintendo has always done better with mobile gaming sales than their dedicated home consoles, I'm really not that all surprised.
Tbh them making something that is a console but also a true mobile was genius That is the exact market they already dominated and just need to further tap into
As someone who has never owned a non-handheld Nintendo console, Arms and Spla2n almost got me, the fact that they're both all but dead now is all that saved me from a console purchase. It looks to have a strong lineup, but nothing I personally find interesting. Good job to Nintendo though, they've always been one of the better developers outside of their hatred of streamers and fan-projects. [sp]The second a mainline Fire Emblem comes out on it I'm doomed though.[/sp]

Both have healthy as fuck communities. Especially Splatoon 2. You have no problems finding games in Arms. And Splatoon 2 continues to get amazing support by the devs.

Different region I imagine, games tend to die a lot quicker in Australia than other regions.

What did Nintendo to piss off British people so badly? It seems like the Wii was the only one of their ''recent'' consoles that actually did well here.
