I agree, and I truly hope they re-release it for the Switch. Really, they only need to re-release a couple more of the Wii U games and there's literally no reason to have one anymore.
I just need that one game that pushes me over the line, I played on the device once and it plays pretty nicely and i'm willing to get the console but the games are just not interesting enough to get it.

people keep on ragging on switch for getting wii u ports, but for a lot of switch owners its probably a good thing? im willing to bet a majority never owned a wii u (and neither did i), and missed out on the fantastic games/remasters that it got. bring those to switch and you got a nice couple first party titles, which would help right now since its gonna be a bit before switch gets more original first party games. itd probably take less time too to port games over

I think this is mostly true, but my understanding is that a huge chunk of their cash is in real estate. Could be wrong on that.
Not surprised at all that the Switch beat out the Wii U so easily, the early game lineup alone is more than enough to satisfy most people. Can't wait to see what else comes out on it, hopefully I'll actually own a Switch by then :v:

Wii U had 5 weak years. It had a weak start, a weak middle and a weak ending. The Switch has already outsold it in just 10 months. The ongoing craze about it may still infect UK. Don't know anything about the Dreamcast.
Could we get a Xenoblade X port to the switch? I missed out on the WiiU and like the idea of an open world game with transforming mechs.

I've seen almost as many WiiUs as I have PSPs. That doesn't mean they sold anywhere close to each other.

If I recall correctly, the director is looking into the prospects of that happening, as the game is clearly meant to be played on a format other than a typical disc, but has not confirmed anything.
Definitely seems like one of the more probable ports.
I bought a switch just to play Zelda on. I played Mario Odyssey at Target and got that too. I wanna get overcooked next. Still waiting for a good RPG/Handheld style Pokemon game and not an arcade fighter
Not really surprised tbh. With a stronger list of exclusive titles and with a proper target audience the Switch was bound to surpass the Wii U in sales. It just did it early.

As someone who has never owned a non-handheld Nintendo console, Arms and Spla2n almost got me, the fact that they're both all but dead now is all that saved me from a console purchase.
It looks to have a strong lineup, but nothing I personally find interesting.
Good job to Nintendo though, they've always been one of the better developers outside of their hatred of streamers and fan-projects.

This is so far from the truth, jesus. Both have healthy as fuck communities. Especially Splatoon 2. You have no problems finding games in Arms. And Splatoon 2 continues to get amazing support by the devs.

My friend's got a Switch that we play Mario Kart on a bit, and he's been vocal about them being dead.
Different region I imagine, games tend to die a lot quicker in Australia than other regions.
