I unfriended a child hood friend today because he was spreading that bullshit. I knew he voted for Trump, and I tolerated that, but this just showed how awful a person he became.
My mother was showing me stuff on facebook from some of her friends spouting the same stuff, and she doesn't like confrontation but really wants to tell them how awful they are for spreading or believing that kind of stuff. What surprises me the most about this is just how prevalent it actually seems to be - a lot of people seem to know at least one person on their facebook/social media who is spreading these disgusting assertions.
It would be completely impractical and way too abusable to ever implement but I would like to see some form of regulation on the propagation of harmful demonstrably untrue conspiracies such as this. (Even though the post was one sentence and the sentence began with the concession, I feel the need to state it directly; I am not opposed to freedom of speech.) [editline]22nd February 2018[/editline]
This isn't people coping though it's an organized attack against the credibility of children who were just shot at.
I would seriously like to know where these rumors are being spawned from. Somebody was the first to think of this, and somebody else was the first to hand it up the chain that eventually lead to those with cameras and microphones in front of themselves.
These conspiracy theories are never credible because they rely on the idea that they are all massive cover-ups. Living on this planet for as little as I have I've learned any government or group is too incompetent to have something with this many moving parts suppressed.
You know, there's one thing about all these conspiracy theories that always left me stumped: if the people that fabricated these 'stories' are powerful enough to organize and engineer all of this... then how is it that every single time, without fail, some random joe just happens to 'figure out the truth' mere days after it happens? Like, you're telling me that with all the resources to supposedly make this super believable story, convince almost every available media outlet that it really happened, hire actors, make scripts, and engineer the entire story from scratch... some random guy just happens to see right through it? Every time? And with each subsequent 'story', nobody in charge thinks "Hey, maybe we should hire a decent actor or scriptwriter so John Smith over here doesn't realize we made it up?" That the people behind this masterful scheme are just that incompetent? All the endless money and resources at their disposal, all the people they seem to be able to hide away that were supposedly killed... and somehow, they can't hide a single actor? Oh, or the fact that nothing ever happens to the people that post these theories? You'd think if it really was some giant government cover-up, the people that post about it would wind up suspiciously missing within a few weeks. But nope, nothing. Yeah, alright. Apparently the government can have a president assassinated and cover it up, but shutting some random inconsequential schmuck up is just too difficult for them.

People who believe in this stuff believe in magic in a sense. They naturally don't apply basic logic to what they see and are willing to hand wave away so much shit as possible literally because they want to believe it is, it's a fascinating combination of varying degrees of mental illness spurred on by the right kind of manipulative tactics on the part of the people who engineer conspiracy theory propaganda, like InfoWars for example. They play at basic human emotions and throw so much shit at you to keep you scared, you believe them because they appear to be out there to protect you from the scary magic of the cloud people. It's assholes taking advantage of the mentally ill. That's not to say that all conspiracy theorists are mentally ill, but a good majority of them are definitely mentally ill to some degree, the percentage of those who are just innocent people who have been brainwashed by fringe group propaganda was considerably smaller, enough to be not even note worthy until the ~2016 election season really started pushing conspiracy theories into mainstream propaganda networks.
This new age of conspiracy trash has managed to somehow become even dumber than before. I could almost understand complete idiots falling for this shit when Obama was president. "Obama was going to take away everyone's guns! the news told me so, and considering he leads the country- that means he's all powerful! he would have all the resources to create any fake atrocity he wanted! Of course he could create a fake shooting he's the president!" Sure, its dumb- but you can kinda see how someone who isn't overly bright might believe that the all powerful government would have the power to pull something like this off. "The government did it because they are evil!" Is dumb but I could see someone believing it. But now their guys are the all powerful government, and this shit is still happening somehow? Oh my mistake- that's because there's a super secret shadow second government we didn't know about before! and they are basically the enclave from fallout and now they are the bad guys i swear i'm not making this up just go with it! what the fuck is moving a goalpost ive never touched the stuff!.
really sick of seeing this kind of shit on my feed. might be time for a cull of old highschool facebook friends. Looking into the comments on these posts is incredibly frustrating. people will post a full uncut video of someone going through the school's yearbook and showing the one guy's picture in it everyone says is an actor and these morons will still sit and comment that it's fake because some random twitter page said he actually went to school in California, always wanted to be an actor, etc. etc. I just honestly can't fathom how gullible and unintelligent you have to be to believe any of this conspiracy shit in the slightest and yet here are thousands of people openly discussing and spreading it seriously
this is why I don't identify as "Right Wing" anymore. people died, can't we just let this shit exist happen without calling it one big hoax preformed by "De bad joozs!!!!!!!!". I'd hate to be any of the parents whose kids didn't come home, as they're probably being abused because some fucking nutjob shot up a school. The beliefs of both political ideologies have become so extreme that people aren't just "Left/Right Wing", they're extremist. Nowadays it seems you can only be Far-Left or Far-Right with no middle-ground. This huge split in beliefs is going to tear the USA apart. Anyway, my heart goes out to the families affected by the shooting , and i hope these theorists burn in hell. :pyramid:
The top trending video on YouTube was a false conspiracy that a survivor of the Florida school shooting was an actor
The top trending video on YouTube Wednesday morning advanced a burgeoning conspiracy theory that a survivor of last week's shooting at a Florida high school was a "crisis actor." By 11 a.m. ET, the video had been removed from YouTube — but could still be viewed on other sites. "This video should never have appeared in Trending. Because the video contained footage from an authoritative news source, our system misclassified it. As soon as we became aware of the video, we removed it from Trending and from YouTube for violating our policies. We are working to improve our systems moving forward," a YouTube spokesperson told CNBC. Mary deBree, Head of Content Policy at Facebook, also said in statement that "we are removing this content from Facebook."
how much money does soros have, man's spending so much on the leftist agenda™ he and the rest of the illuminati should be broke as fuck by now
Mr. Soros has explicitly stated multiple times that he set a $100,000 yearly salary for himself from his company, proclaiming that its all he needs and anything more would be ridiculous. I don't know why people make him out to be the devil, he's a really cool guy who was in the right place at the right time just from what I gather through his interviews.
So who else has seen this shit pop up thanks to a dumb as fuck friend on facebook who uses this as the end all be all confirmation of a conspiracy? Because it's just fucking depressing.
