It seems Nintendo wasn't joking when they said a significant more SNES Classic at launch.

Looks like I don't need to camp out for the night.
Probably just me but I never quite understood the appeal of the mini systems unless you buy new stuff as collector's items, especially if you went through hell to get one.
The nes classic would be a cool gift idea if they weren't so limited, but I can't imagine wanting one e.g. if you weren't satisfied with using emulators.

They're intended for people who don't know or care about emulators, or people who don't mind paying for an official product.
They never take the advantage of the initial rush, and always just end up flooding the market soon after when people have moved on to a degree.
I mean I know I'm at the point where it's already in my head how cool it would be to just build my own so that even if I didn't feel like using it, I could put it on a shelf and go "look at this neat little NES I built" if I have company.
If I were to buy the NES Classic, when it inevitably gets left on a shelf, it'll just be "yeah I managed to buy one of the thirteen for sale"
