Rapp shared this part of his life before, in 2001. The difference was that in 2001 he decided not to name his aggressor. The story hasn't changed, and I doubt he would throw in a different name just to destroy Spacey's career; it'd sabotage his chance to ever receive closure from the actual perpetrator.

And sexual abuse survivors not talking about it until years later is so common as to hardly warrant this reaction - and male ones are even LESS likely to talk about it.

While these conversations may not always be healthy or have conclusive outcomes, I would say Facepunch has evolved past the snipe-heavy SH of before and fosters a pretty healthy bed of opposing but well-formed opinions. Even at its worst, calling the general attitude to some group "gross" is a pretty overarching statement - you can find comments that fall under that umbrella in every thread but it doesn't make it the majority consensus.
