I don't know, I haven't seen anything from this website before and don't see any other websites reporting it. I would think given the current EA shitstorm, people would be very quick to pick this up. I have no idea if it's true as I haven't played the game, but I would be apprehensive about immediately believing it.

But I can't find anything about P2W lootboxes this blog post is describing UFC3 is going to have.

UFC 2 Had this stupid "card system" as well. It's very not fun. You can beat the career mode in like 2 hours. It's also pretty obvious that they tried to make the campaign suck to get you to play the only other mode worth playing, which also happens to be the same mode that lets you spend money for cards that alllow you to throw a punch in a fighting game.

Ya know I always thought video games would go by the wayside in my life due to getting older and not having the time or interest like I used to. Not cynical cash grab loot box schemes designed to hold me upside down and shake the money out of my pockets. I know there is a plethora of other companies making genuinely inspired and passionate games, but I cant help but feel this is the solidification of a new age. AAA game companies are making it clear they are not in this for the player, no matter how much we beat the drums of disdain or boycott their product. EA, you are a pack of money hungry suits and deserve a swift kick in the ass out the back door.

Is it satire? I'm serious. I played the older MMA and such games, especially fight night [different sport, boxing in this case.] and I enjoyed them.
