I dont see what stops you from using the switch as a handheld. That thing is pretty small. I thought it would be way bigger before I actually saw one for myself

It might be smaller than expected but it's WIDE as all hell with the joycons attached, it's "carry in a backpack" portable but not "put in your pocket/bag" portable

The Switch fits into my pockets with the Joy Cons detached. With the Joy Cons fitting into the other pocket.

With the Joy Cons fitting into the other pocket.[/QUOTE] yeah if you're a dude you can do this with your average straight fit jean pant, but god forbid you wear tight pants or pants with little to no pocket. your average person can't really fit a switch with 2 joycons in another pocket unless they're specifically planning to bring the switch somewhere. it's portable in the same way a 17 inch gaming laptop is portable, yeah it works but it's not really convenient or easy

Normal DSes don't really fit well in those pants described either.

Sure, if all I was carrying was the switch it'd be fine but there's plenty of other shit I need to carry in my pockets too.

Gonna be nice being able to justify getting a Switch to myself. Always wanted to play Spla2n and to see Pokemon on hardware slightly better than a microwave.

Thats good news, i guess I can put away 1 dollar a day till the next generation of pokemon games and get a switch when its got a solid base of games I wanna play. I said I wasn't going to get one after getting a wii u, but if this means the next is on Switch, I will. SMO isn't enough atm.
