They've had 3d for YEARS, why are they advertising this just now? It doesn't look like anything is different at all.

This is more of a technological advancement than anything, utilising the great new technologies in HTML and JS, but essentially it's still the same Google Earth, the same 3D that was there before

I hope they add the Google Earth community feature back. It's really fun to see what other people have found. Shame they shut that feature down in previous editions of Earth.
