Don't you guys think it's a little privacy invasive to share all this shit about an (at the time) child.
Like he changed his name ( slightly) this is like the thrid thing that shows up when you Google his new name, thanks to the person who casually linked things to his facebook and uni.
And then you go in to accurate description of what child porn he may or may not had. And a timeline of all the shit he did that maybe the police doesn't even know about.

I could probably remove the really sensitive bits, but this was 5~ years ago at this point.
The guy has obviously changed, we were both little kids, and this looks bad on me as well.
My post is in part defending him too. It's not like I literally uploaded the entire huge chat log for people to read.
Do you think it really matters all that much at this point?
Also the police aren't going to prosecute him for some dumb shit he did 5 years ago.
Beyond that you do realize he got all his computers, tech, etc confiscated when this situation went down? ALL of my chats with him were probably (almost 100% even) read by law enforcement anyway...

I had literally just found his name on an old whois record/facepunch, searched it on Google, and found those links. Anyone who knows how to Google could have linked them.
I didn't even notice he changed his name even slightly I spent all of 10 seconds Googling to find those.

OK yeah sure, it's a little easier to find on Google now. From seeing how he has changed, I don't think the job he'd end up applying for would be Googling his name and avidly reading into facepunch threads from 2015.

If that post was from 2014 how did he change his name. I am pretty sure this is the name that was in the original FP thread regarding sethhack.
I am not completely sure anymore, he's went by more then a few first and last names in various sources.
I assume that to some extend he owns both, eg mothers/father side?
There are quite a bit of data-protection requests there where on the name he currently goes by tho, i din't actually realize that when i looked in to it.
Idk anymore, the borderline 'stalking' of a ex-convict juvenile who apparently tries real hard to leave the past behind him, just seems in bad taste.

Realize I only shared a few chat messages out of probably 15k+ across a few skype databases. The ones to fill the gap between sethhack and the prosecution.
In the end this was part of my life, it was part of his life, and it's a life we've both moved on from and in some way or another became better from.

I think what he's getting at is it may be better if Seth's new uni life remains unaware of 'life before the prosecution'.
I don't have a clue on whether this is something that can be done for an individual thread, but mods removing this thread from googlebots view may be a good idea with the level of detail in it. Perhaps too late already though.

I did plenty of stupid shit in the past. But that's what made me the person I am now and in my opinion trying to hide it will just reflect poorly on yourself.

snapchat sends the person a notification if they screenshot it so its generally considered good etiquette not to

He was a child with mental issues and questionable parenting, his accountability for his actions then isn't exactly the same as it is for most other people.
I am not sure if its just me, but doxing people, or going /that/ far with private information is a morally questionable and dangerous thing to do.
But then you add the fact that he was like 16 when he got arrested. And that we're ~4 years later, takes that 10 steps further.
Personal information/facebook links like this almost always get deleted by mods when events like this happen, (last i remember during the agentfazexx stuff).

Its fine that you hold that opinion, but in this case It doesn't provide any value to you or the thread to link his facebook/uni rather then just write 3 lines about it.
While possibly increasing the chance of harassment and all that shit for him.
Like there are maybe a hundred people who have valid reasons to hate him here on facepunch as well, don't lower the barrier of entry for problems.

Maybe I missed something in one of the articles but where did it say they were all pictures of his girlfriend?
I'm not trying to keep stirring the pot, but almost everyone reffered to the images as ones of his girlfriend, and I didn't see anything that said this.

However, I made this point in the post I removed:
If you were in his shoes would you really want to tell someone, whether friend or foe, that you collected and archived nearly 1,000 illegal images of kids?
Beyond that, he was probably told by his lawyer not to incriminate himself back then. What else do you expect him to say?
Side note, postal cleaned up page 2 (also went back and cleaned my post a bit) so this thread isn't really harmful anymore.
If anything it's positive now since it shows he was able to better himself and make a change.
Since I knew him pretty well, it makes me happy to see that.

By looking at the responses in this thread, I really don't think anyone is out to harass him.
Like I had said, it's been such a long time anyone who cares is either gone or got over it.
And maybe it'll teach people who read it why you shouldn't follow in the shoes of Seth.
Also cheating in GMod is more rampant now in days than ever before.
There hasn't been any official anticheat for a long time, and there is an insane plethora of public cheats compared to back then.
It seems people are trying to rationalise 924 images of CP because they were of his GF. This is based on the word of someone with no proof. If you believe the word of his "friend" then I guess sure, but I don't buy that 924 images were all of his GF.
