The problem with the JP movies at this point is that they can only exist in a universe with the most gullible, naive retards of a population. Even ignoring the San Diego rampage from the second movie, we have a dinosaur theme park that went completely tits-up, which resulted in tons of deaths.
Why would anyone mess with dinosaurs after that, besides having the ego to think you can control them, which we already did in JW, but also doesn't make for a remotely interesting plot.
To be fair the first park was intentionally sabotaged. If it wasn't for that it probably would have worked fine. Now after the second park gets fucked up that's when people should consider the idea a bust.
It's a big industry in the JW universe and it makes big money. Of course, people are going to want a piece of that pie no matter the dangers. It would be easy to get into the mind frame of "we will learn from their mistakes and do it right" with so much money to gain. That's always how I look at the stupidity of them opening more parks. Because humans are greedy and stupid.

Even though Lions and other animals kill zookeepers we still keep Zoos.
That doesn't really mean much when you consider it is a big Hollywood film where the producers can say "fuck you" to pretty much anything they want (and probably will).
J. A. Bayona apparently fought with executives to have more practical effects.
“Money is no object. You take your time and do whatever you need to do. The director, bless his heart, was trying to fight off all of the executives. I probably shouldn’t say that.”
He steps out the gate walking and dressed like this:

Jurassic Park will always be my favourite film.
I've seen it more times than I can count. There was a time in my early teenage years when I could literally recite every line from the movie. My girlfriend bought me tickets to see it at the Royal Albert Hall in London last year live with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra - which was absolutely amazing, although, I think I pissed off a lot of people around me since I'd say a bunch of lines before they were said in the film...
Anyway. The Lost World: Jurassic Park was a great film in my opinion. Yes, it had some pretty cheesy and terrible moments - but Ian Malcolm is such a great character and I found his relationship with Julianne Moore's character pretty complex and interesting.
The next two films were terrible beyond words.
Especially Jurassic World. I'm quite happy to wipe that from my memory. In fact, I don't think that I even remember much about it, even after seeing it twice in the cinema.
I feel like the producers ideas of the film have been inflated because it did so well in the box office. Not because it was in any way a good film, but because, it's Jurassic Park. I think those tickets sold like hot cakes because people like me rushed to the cinema to see more fucking dinosaurs. I'll buy a ticket to the next film no doubt.
But I'm not holding my breathe for anything. It'll be a terrible film judging by the last one...
That said.
I'll take Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcom every day of the fucking year.

I literally thought you were talking about the producers of the film here, until the part when you said: 'I look at the stupidity of them opening more parks'
Can't wait to see Jeff Goldblum prop up this mediocre sequel
I'd love to be surprised but Jurassic World was a pretty big disappointment
By the way: It's directed by horror director J.A. Bayona, so you can guarantee that it's going to be very suspenseful, compared to JWs direction. He already announced that JW2 will be more scarier und much darker and will make more use of practical effects this time.
Bad news is that it's still written by Trevorrow and Conelly who were also responsible for the JW script.
I see that Jurassic World is taking the DC Movies route of tone.
"Make everything you know and love DARKER"
JW1 Spoilers: [sp]I'm wondering if it will turn out to be complete schlock considering the cliffhanger of the last movie which was basically "We're creating thousands off these tiny things to use for WAR! What could go wrong?"[/sp]
Even though Lions and other animals kill zookeepers we still keep Zoos.
Except that comparison falls apart when you remember that a, animals killing zookeepers isn't the norm and b, this is the very first dinosaur park and it fails catastrophically.

No? Watch the first movie and see for yourself how dark toned it was compared to JW1. It also had a more realistic vibe to it. Considering what happened in JW it's a bit stupid that it was still so light-toned about shit going down. Also, JW2 is directed by a horror director.

The only downside currently is Trevorrow being responsible for the script again. Other than that there is a much more experienced director at helm.

True. But it's just in the nature of people that they would try something like this IF dinosaurs were actually recreatable.
Even though the last two movies were terrible, I still enjoyed all of them massively. It's a bit like Pirates of the Caribbean in that regard. Even if the plot is bad, I'll probably still enjoy it because it's another Jurassic park movie.
Now to just bring in a one armed Samuel L Jackson
Ahh Jeff. Handsome for a man.
I saw "Jeff Goldblum Joins J.." on the main page, brain filled it in as JTF2. Yay Canada
If he was joining Triassic World would your brain fill it in as TF2?
I like Jurassic Park II a lot still. It had so many iconic scenes. The inGen hunters riding into the herd with specialised dinosaur capturing vehicles, the T-Rex attack on the trailer, the raptors in the tall grass. It still retains that sense of adventure from the first movie.
First Jeff Goldblum returns in Independence Day 2, now he's going to be in Jurassic World 2. I was just starting to enjoy Jeff Goldblum the serious actor in such films as Grand Budapest Hotel and that one Johnny Depp movie where Goldblum's character gets murdered by his daughter for his money.
I would have gladly forgiven everything that went wrong in Jurassic World if it had other carnivores like Dilophosaurus attacking visitors with the park fully hitting the fan.

You sound like a fun guy to hang out with.

What he's been living on the island the entire time, dressed in the skin of raptors?
