from Tony Iommi's facebook: I'd agree completely. a crowd at a concert is one big family.
not all the time. i have seen racism and violence at concerts. but on the whole the real patrons do unite.

Operation Temperer, a secret contingency plan that was first reported to exist two years ago, has now been activated
Watching the news and they're listing some of the papers and tabloids headlines. It feels so wrong that 20 people sit in a room and think of a catchy title for a bombing that killed 22 kids.
This guy just committed the fastest career suicide I have ever seen.
On the plus side he could find a home at Infowars

EDIT Ignore, totally forgot about the Sandy Hook shit.

If you want accurate news written by people that care, then you'd get your news elsewhere
As far as I know, not even Alex Jones will take on a guy who makes jokes about kids dying.
Did you even click the link. Jones says much worse himself, and does it completely seriously.
Didn't Jones say Sandy Hook was a hoax or something lmao
Murder is wrong in general. But children of all fucking people...
There will be always terrorist attacks happening. No matter what we do. It is impossible to completely prevent them. We have to accept this and live life to its fullest.
I will never accept this argument. Terrorism is not a way of life or another petty crime, to accept it is to say that we have lost and we're defeated and to that I say fuck off. If you honestly believe everyone should just treat these attacks as robbing a service station, you are what's wrong with the world
Did you even click the link. Jones says much worse himself, and does it completely seriously.
Whoops, I just read the first line of about press badges and thought you made a point that Infowars was going new places. Nvm, continue to say fuck Alex Jones, cause I already forgot he was one of the Sandy Hook hoax people too.
A friend of mine knows a woman whose daughter hasn't been heard from since last night... She's dead... 15 years old. :disappoint:
Terror alert level was raised to Critical and Operation Temperer has been activated, which basically means shit > fan with soldiers assisting police patrols. There is a credible and confirmed threat of more attacks and the Euros final is in Cardiff in a few days - 160,000 people expected in the city. You know what, I'm staying at home.

I could be wrong but I think "Operation Temperer" is activated in order to free up police resources by putting military personnel in the place of what would ordinarily be armed guards, by parliament and such Either way I hope it doesn't last for more than a few days. iirc the last & only two times the threat level was raised to critical it only lasted for 3-4 days.
you're letting terrorism win by being that paranoid you know
Not really? It's perfectly sensible to stay in if there's a genuine risk of another attack soon. Edit: What you said is pretty much the equivalent of saying that jumping into your anderson shelter during the blitz means the Nazis win.
you're letting terrorism win by being that paranoid you know
Lay down and die, or the terrorists win
Lay down and die, or the terrorists win
Surely refusing to leave the house in fear of an attack is more akin to 'laying down and dying' than continuing to do as one would normally do? As citizens, all we can really do to 'solve' terrorism is to be vigilant, raise awareness of issues which may be increasing the risk of terrorism (both external factors aiding radicalisation, and internal factors inspiring radicalisation), and vote for a Government which has the best plan, in one's own opinion. It's perfectly natural to be scared, and I'm not saying people shouldn't try to stay safe, especially with the country on a high terror alert. But I don't think continuing to live one's life as best as one can under the circumstances is submission, because we are doing things about the issue.
Rather go out my house and die in an explosion than live in fear.

This is what happens without assimilation. Culture clash/holy war etc. This isn't the first time nations have dealt with this. The radicalization isn't home grown. Ignoring the past will only bring pain.
Terrorists can kiss my ass if they think they're going to stop me from doing the things I want to do.
Honestly, I'm way more afraid of some random fool shooting up my school or something than a terrorist blowing something up near me.
Ah, let me clarify. I wasn't ever planning on going to Cardiff for the football, so I have no reason to be there. My friends and family have a habit of just popping in, in defiance of the predicted chaos, and getting really stuck on just a normal happy match day. I don't plan on having that happen to me and then having some nutter introduce a whole new layer of chaos. If you've never spent time in South Wales you probably wouldn't believe this quite as strongly as I do but I'm sure that if there was a large scale attack on a match day here there would be absolute carnage. It's already an epic task to try and get in and out of the city when everyone else is going the same direction, quite claustrophobic in fact.
Terrorist win the moment you decide you won't do something because it could be targetted
its great to see people who live in countries that have has close to 0 terror attacks and who dont leave their houses for the majority of their lives roll off hackneyed lines about terrorists winning give me a fucking break. This is the equivalent of you telling people they should jump off the back of their boats in waters where a great white was seen hunting 30 minutes earlier because "Acktully... statistically speaking..."
What you said is pretty much the equivalent of saying that jumping into your anderson shelter during the blitz means the Nazis win.
p. fucking big difference between an air raid that you'll hopefully see coming from miles away because planes can't exactly conceal themselves, and a statistically unlikely event like a terrorist attack.
