Accidents have happened with far worse numbers. Just wait for confirmation.
Facebook just activated Safety Check

Admittedly it has, depressingly, been terrorism or some nutjob who's decided he's a terrorist, but there's no rush to decide it's terrorism until things have settled down. Nothing to be gained right now.
BBC now live reporting

Actual report
A witness says he saw "about 30" people scattered at Manchester Arena, some who "looked dead" .

There are Trump supporters spreading pictures from a training exercise that took place in this arena, and pretending they're pictures from this event. Literally the lowest of the low, scum.
training exercise?

Sudden explosions don't tend to be accidents. Especially not in such crowded venues.
My girlfriend's Facebook friend is saying she's trapped in a nearby Oldham hospital with gunman outside.
Please reserve political debates and conversation for when the situation is under control. This thread should be used for news updates as they come out.
Already seeing some news sources quickly branding it as terrorism and it's like yo where the fuck did you get that from
Right now it's easily narrowed down to either two accidental or intentional explosions. The venue makes sense for a terror target. But not enough information to say for certain. It seems definitely possible to me. I'd be surprised if it wasn't at this point.
/Conjecture

idk we're the country of home gas explosions. Weirder and "safer" things have blown up. It's always a possibility.
And if it is terrorism, there's little point speculating because speculation leads to knee-jerk bullshit like that Boston Bombing mis-identification.
Just heard about this in the airport; It is really grim to hear here.
I hope there is no continued issues, especially with separated children in such a chaotic moment.
training exercise?
Well people were calling the pic fake and not even from something that happened in Manchester, and a few others stated that the pictures were in fact from Manchester, but were from a training exercise, as in training for an emergency like this.
I guess they made it look as legit as possible in the training exercise?

It is rather likely.
Another thing is having kneejerk reactions. Let's see once the dust has settled, alright?

Sun reporter. Unconfirmed.
Take it with a grain of salt
My girlfriend's Facebook friend is saying she's trapped in a nearby Oldham hospital with gunman outside.
People are reporting that someone spotted a gunman outside but nothing else has been said, take it with a huge grain of salt because at this point misinformation is rife due to the chaos.

There was a training exercise at a mall in the same city last year where like 1000 people participated and there was a fake explosion to simulate a suicide bomb attack. Haven't seen the image myself so not sure if it's the same one though, sounds like it is.

This is really the heart of why it's important to remember that even if it is a worst-case scenario, real people's lives can be ruined by people jumping the gun on false information and reports.
So just be aware of that when you're posting in threads like these.

You mean that picture with what seems to be debris and blood particles on the ground near a set of doors with a number of victims behind it?

Oh maybe that's the one. I thought they were implying it happened at the same arena or something, but they probably meant that then.
My girlfriend's Facebook friend is saying she's trapped in a nearby Oldham hospital with gunman outside.
Can you please elaborate?,
People are reporting that someone spotted a gunman outside but nothing else has been said, take it with a huge grain of salt because at this point misinformation is rife due to the chaos.
This is apparently false.

Ya that must be the one, that's the only one that seems ridiculous. There's no way someone got close enough to take that picture with all the police and emergency responders around.

Apparently its false which if it is, that's a good thing at least.

I'm not familiar with UK training exercises for terror attacks, but do they really go that extra mile with that debris and blood particle placing as well?
