19 dead. 50 Injured
God fucking damn it. Hope none were children and that there are no more deaths
Doubt it's a suicides bomber given the apparent reports of two explosions. If it were a suicide bomber, they'd have walked into he arena, not the foyer. Hope it was a planted explosive; CCTV will have captured the assailant - at least a chance to catch the person responsible..
Current rumors are a nail bomb; given the damage, would make sense.
From what I heard, they were nail bombs.
Fucked up if true. Those are designed to cause injuries that bleed heavily. I don't have a source though. Just hearsay and rumors on twitter and arfcom.

If they're alive then they're an active threat, if they were a suicide bomber then they're no longer an active threat

It can still be an "Active" threat. For example if a suicide bomber plants several secondary explosives (designed to kill first responders.) and then blows themselves up.
I'm not familiar with UK training exercises for terror attacks, but do they really go that extra mile with that debris and blood particle placing as well?
I wouldn't doubt it. Depending on the seriousness of an emergency, you'd want your responders as accurately trained as possible.
A shooting would look far different than an event such as this with an explosion, so if the responders were trained with just people laying around, they'd be in for a surprise when responding to an actual explosion with smoke, debris, blood, etc everywhere.

I'd rather the suspect be dead at that point than to be alive and able to manually detonate bombs or start shooting people
Any reports on the performers or anything like that? I'm just curious

It was a huge training exercise designed specifically for a situation like today.

Ariana Grande was OK, its unlikely that any were hurt as the explosion seemed to be near the exits/outside the stadium where people were exiting.
wow really, going after teenagers and little girls, I don't even know how to react, such a pointless war

Agreed. Whoever did this deserves to suffer. :disappoint:

Sometimes yes they do. There was a massive training excercise a few years ago in the centre of London which got alot of press coverage at the time which kinda turned a few streets in london into a 'warzone'.
Not gonna hyperlink it cause it's not relevent to current events and i don't want people gettig it mixed up.

Guess that explains the bomb removal squad getting called in then.

Goddamn, even at this time, people are still attacking Corbyn for just giving his condolences? I know he's not well-liked in the British public's eye, but this is a bit ridiculous.
Absolutely awful that children were killed in the incident. I'm praying for you all in England.

ISIS tries to capitalise on everything, even attacks that had nothing to do with them, just ignore them.
