there's a picture floating about 4chan that looks a lot like the arena/victoria station area (sign above has information about metrolink, victoria is now a fairly big hub for the metrolink - our metro/tram system)
not sure if i should link it here as it's quite grim and could be fake, i can't find a source for it. it was referenced earlier in the thread (quote below) and dismissed as an image of a training exercise but i'm 99% certain it isn't as it's not the same location as that training exercise - i would recognise the surroundings

It is the doors at one of the exits of the arena which leads into Victoria station, not the shopping centre exercise. It isn't fake at all, I've never heard of a training exercise at victoria/ the arena (Arndale and Trafford centre exercises are only known ones). I use Victoria station alot and have visited the arena on a few occasions, it is definitely the exit to the station. the same exit is located near the new roof, which the flash is visible from the video posted on first page, where the roof and exit is :(
US officials are claiming it was a suicide bomber but nothing has being said by UK officials yet.

The boldened one referred to (A picture taken through sets of open doors with blue bottoms) has repeatedly been said to be fake on Twitter etc, it won't be the training exercise I mentioned (Since like you say that was in Trafford Center and pic isn't from there for sure) but I'm not sure now you are bringing it up.

I'd rather trust UK officials over US at the moment, where the bombing happened on their land and where they're doing the investigation.

Yeah I know what you mean, it defo isn't Trafford Center in the image. I have seen a number of places condemning the same image as fake and the person who originally shared it has hidden their account.

been seeing lots of facebook posts/tweets of people & local hotels offering those affected somewhere to stay, or "just for a brew" as well as taxi drivers offering free lifts home. heartwarming to see people coming together in the face of something so awful.

Looks like it may well be real, I have found a few people with fairly large followings saying the image is fake and 'from a training exercise' yet not giving a source on the supposed exercise.
I only saw the image myself not long ago, but previously all I had heard was that there was a fake image from a training exercise floating about and assumed it was screencaps from that training exercise at Trafford Center a year ago.

Graphic material is already not allowed to be image tagged and any images of visible bodies are not allowed full stop, so don't worry.
