Just got my impulse buy box. Realized Destiny 2 can't run with steam overlay :v:
It streams the audio and video of it just fine, so as long as you plug a controller into the PC instead of the Steam Link you should be fine. Just launch Battle.net through Steam, and Destiny 2 through that.
I expected this was a pricing mistake but ordered it anyways, it arrived!!
I'm really happy since it can function as a USB over ethernet solution, and it is cheaper than any other USB over ethernet solution on the market with this bundle.
That option sucks and costs 20 bux
I got the email, which is slightly worrying because I refunded the purchase and ICEY is no longer in my library.
Mine is shipping and I refunded ICEY, so I guess you still get the Link even if you do refund the game.

Can confirm, mine arrived this morning.
Maybe they really do just want the things gone, because I've refunded Steam hardware before :v:
Can I just stream anything to it in near real-time?

Yes. If you take off big picture mode, it streams ANYTHING from your desktop.

You can also connect practically any Bluetooth controller to it, including PS4/XBone/Switch controllers.

Yes. I am doing it now.
Nifty little thing, like streaming but nearly no delay in input.
Mine came yesterday and was pleasantly surprised.
Use a fire stick to stream tv in our room atm, and have Plex on my PC to host anything not on Netflix etc. Grabbed one of these and I was a bit disheartened reading online lots of people complaining about making video streams look really bad.
Gave it a go today and zero noticeable quality loss or input delay while streaming over wireless to a floor above the router (PC wired to router then wireless to link) and I didn't even know you could stream desktop directly and thought it had to purely be steam.
Has 3 usb ports so can have a spare mouse/kb in for pc control and a controller for whatever else as well. Got an old cabinet pulled up to the bottom of the bed with it all wired in so its a nice little low cost media center setup and you can just switch off your PC remotely when done.
Yay, it finally arrived. (After apparently sitting in a van over the weekend according to shipment tracking)
...
And it does try to stream Big Picture Mode of my desktop. Great.
...
If Big Picture wouldn't be crashing in the first second launching, since I dunno... months, I could actually enjoy the Steam Link.
FUUUUUUUUUUCK

In the settings on the steam link, you can set it to go directly to the desktop. I think it is bypass big picture or something like that.
Settings > Streaming > Advanced Options > Start Streaming Desktop

Ya, thanks, good to know.
Now it's too late for that, unfortunately.
I just reinstalled Windows to get rid of the crashes, my Win 10 started to fall apart anyway, because of some dumb decisions I made over the last months regarding customisations.
Also got around fixing the rest off my disks and partions layout which I procrastinated of fixing since forever so now I can do painless backups again.
And Steam Big Picture is working again, which is a nice bonus.
Got mine today. Works pretty much perfectly using a wired connection to my router, which connects to my PC wirelessly via a second router in media bridge mode at 5GHz. I tried some Elite: Dangerous and the first two chapters of Black Mesa, as well as some 1080p movies and anime saved on my desktop. Didn't have a single hiccup. The picture quality was very high.
After trying Steam Link on 1080p/60FPS for a lil' while, must say it is an awesome thing, No hiccups, clear smooth picture without artefacts, plug'n'play Steam controller support, virtually no delay, nice native interface.
As someone coming from Limelight/Moonlight on Raspberry Pi, the Steam Link beats that in every category.
Awesome product.
Yeah, a wired Steam Link is pretty great from my experiences with it recently. I'd try wireless but my Wifi is atrocious for some reason.
Got mine yesterday. Wired experience was solid.
Steam link used to have an issue with compressing the audio ( both audio quality and volume ), seems to have fixed that now. hope y'all are enjoying them so far
Went to sleep and now my pc host ain't recognized :(
I got mine last week and I can just say it beat my expectations. I wanted something to play couch games with my friends and it does it really well. My PC is wireless (AC PCI adapter) and I left the steam link wireless as well, and it works really well. There is no input lag and issues have been fairly minor. Sometimes the game gets choppy for a second (maybe once every couple hours). I've chalked this just up to being on wifi.
Played four hours of Stick Fight and two hours of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.
Works really well, I just wish it had a total of four USB inputs rather than three, but I've heard from others that a USB Hub works on these so I'll just grab one of those.
