Didnt David Cage have a big Ellen Page scrapbook full of pictures of her from childhood to adulthood?

Some employees, afraid of the outcome, have rallied a few influencers (youtubers/twitters) to defend them instead of coming up with evidence. https://twitter.com/cafegaming/status/952855367398117376
Every single Cage game since Indigo Prophecy has pointless sex scenes, pointless shower scenes, racist shit towards black people/native american stereotypes, rape scenes, just a fucking conga line of creepiness. The Ellen Page cut rape scene neglects to mention the fact that that would only be the 1 successful attempt of what would be like 3 or 4 ATTEMPTED rapes over the course of that fucking game that didn't get cut. On top of 2 or 3 shower scenes that don't need to exist.
One of the first things you can do in Omikron is have sex with a woman that claims to be wife of the guy you're possessing. I mean she's actually a demon and he's actually an empty shell that some other demon used to trick you, but you don't learn about any of that until later.
Sony is quintupling down on the European market, which in the past had focused on sports games and third person action games. That is why God of War is being taken in a new direction, and why David Cage got to make Detroit.
I'm sorry, but you'll have to be clearer about why you think the European market means sony is humouring a closeted rapist, because to me, that really doesn't line up. Even generalizing the european market down to "sportsgames and action" is pretty dumb.
Adding to the raging dumpster fire, Sony just blacklisted one of the journalists that first reported on this

Seeing that Sony has now blacklisted the journalist that spoke out about this leads me to wonder what it is they're hiding. From some quick research Heavy Rain and Beyond did hold for a couple of weeks as the #1 selling best game but it was really nothing to write home about. And then you have the head of Sony Europe saying last year
The God of War reboot from Sony's Santa Monica studio will be central to this – its new, more narrative-focused, open-world approach with a grizzled, bearded Kratos coming as a direct result of Sony's new global thinking. While always popular in North America, past games in the series just didn't do it for players elsewhere. "It's a franchise that has historically acutely underperformed in Europe," [Sony Europe head Jim] Ryan says. "Hack and slash games tend to not do so well in Europe, so the narrative this time around will make a big difference. European gamers love narrative games. And Singstar."
With the success of other narrative driven games with actual gameplay like Horizon Zero Dawn and Uncharted why Sony continues to give money to general shithead with some fucked up games that have fucked up narratives is well beyond my thinking, but I wish for the sake of everyone they would stop completely.
I don't think Sony's interest in Cage has anything to do with Europe specifically. The thing is Detroit is supposed to be one of Sony's big upcoming PS4 exclusives, and they don't want it to flop. Also if it does flop then that's who knows how many special editions and rereleases out the window.
Ive never actually heard of this guy, this studio, or any of these games. Are they console games only?
I'm not surprised to be honest. I remember him denying the Ellen was fully nude in the shower scene until some modders enabled freecam and discovered - she was fully 3D modelled and here we are. [editline]15th January 2018[/editline]
Ive never actually heard of this guy, this studio, or any of these games. Are they console games only?
He's pretty much Sony console exclusive. He was involved with Heavy Rain etc.
Ive never actually heard of this guy, this studio, or any of these games. Are they console games only?
I think Omikron (the first one) has been released on a few platforms. I'm pretty sure everything else is Sony exclusive, though.

People who look up for David Cage will not even care because they see how "pretty" the games look or how "mysterious" and not normal is. At this point, i feel i'm going to be more upset at the fans than at David Cage if these articles are not changing the view.

Later games are PS exclusives. Like all Cage games, they have some good stuff, some bad stuff and some creepy (the bad kind) stuff. If you like cinematic thriller games, then you should try them, even if they're not the best in that domain. [editline]15th January 2018[/editline] I'm one to defend David Cage, but it's well-known that he's not a fun guy to work with. A creep? You can't deny that with his shower scenes in every game. I'm not sure about racist though, maybe a bit. Maybe not anymore, even. His games often incorporate people from various races, and most of them aren't bad guys.
What the fuck is Sony doing
Trying to cover up the shitstorm which is slowly brewing (because he develops "sony exclusive" content), and making it worse in the process. They've obviously never heard of the Streisand effect.
So who wants to bet that the female robot in his Detroit game almost gets raped at some point? Just kidding, it's already in the game.

Evidently there was a translation error regarding allegations against Quantic Dreams founder Guillaume de Fondaumière, as noted in an update by Euro Gamer
this article previously translated a passage of a French report to say Guillaume de Fondaumière was accused of "pushing kisses" on staff at parties, but the translation is incorrect, as de Fondaumière himself later pointed out to me. After further consultation we have a more accurate translation. The accusation revolves around the common French greeting of air-kissing when two people meet. Guillaume de Fondaumière is accused of making more contact with his kisses than is considered appropriate. Guillaume de Fondaumière went on to tell me: "Please note I categorically refute all allegations, in particular 'hitting on staff'." Quantic Dream also formerly issued a statement yesterday evening in response to the reports. Guillaume de Fondaumière shared the statement on Twitter. "Articles published today level various allegations against Quantic Dream, its management and employees. "We categorically deny all of these allegations. Quantic Dream filed a complaint several months ago and further complaints will follow. "We invite interested parties to read the responses of our Employee Representatives and Health & Security Committee to questions submitted by the journalists prior to publication. "Inappropriate conduct or practices have no place at Quantic Dream. We have taken and always will take such grievances very seriously. "We value every single person who works at Quantic Dream. It is of utmost important to us that we maintain a safe environment that allows us all to channel our shared passion for making video games."
Take this as you will
To be honest this whole thread has gone from "David Cage is accused of rather inappropriate behavior in the workplace" to everyone saying "ah I always knew he was a racist rapist, look at his shitty games and how bad they are! Shower scenes, am I right?" Not that I want to defend his behavior, but you guys just love jumping on a hate bandwagon at first opportunity.

I've also been doing that since I first learned who he was. All the other creepy shit just came afterwards, so don't give me the bandwagon bull. He literally went "I have gay/black friends, therefore I am innocent of any of these accusations."

However when I do get to the parts of the game that are well put together I do find myself wrapped up into the game's story making for an enjoyable time. He can be fun to poke fun at a distance, but considering the idea that Beyond : Two Souls has the horror story that it does, one has to wonder about what kind of environment keeps on making these games.
I'm talking about some guys on the first page who talk about him as a "closet rapist" and what not. Every time there's literally anything about David Cage or any of his games, people feel obligated to post about shower scenes and that one black guy in Heavy Rain. Every time. Talk about knee-jerk reactions.

The most unique thing the dude made was Omikron, and that game is a dumpster fire. If it wasn't for the fact he managed to trick David Bowie into being in it nobody would remember it.
im just saying that maybe the dude who makes racist caricature characters and seemingly has a very weird fixation on rape in media might not be such a swell guy
No he's not, but that doesn't mean we have to bring it up every time in a snarky way, even when it's largely irrelevant to the topic at hand.
if a director solely made vapid films about women getting raped and black people always acting like dangerous crime monkeys, id be pretty suspicious of their intentions as well
It was just one black dude in one game that everyone keeps referring to.
There's a difference between stereotypical and racist. Yeah the black guy in Indigo Prophecy is stereotypical, but it doesn't have to be racist. Cage uses stereotypes very often for his characters. Yeah that's not good writing, but it's not racist either (except for the other guy, I guess).
