I couldn't care less if Spielberg's on board, what matters are the original writers and voice talent.
Oh please don't tell me they're not bringing the original VAs on board. That is always so annoying. It's always for voices you can't replace too. Like, remember when IO almost didn't hire david bateson to do 47 in Absolution? Remember how they recasted the Powerpuff Girls for the reboot? Why the fuck would you do that?
Their voice actors are still alive. They can still do the voice. It's not like hollywood, you can't 'see the voice actor being old'. And unless they're incredibly overused, almost nobody gets tired of a voice actor. Because when have you ever gone "Oh, well, tara strong voices in this, I'm not watching I'm so done with her"?
The thing that pisses me off the most about it is that there's no reason not to just hire the damn original VA.
There is money, it is a terrible reason, but it is there none the less. Generally with things of high demand being brought back gives the voice actors leverage to ask for high pay because they KNOW people want the same voice actors. This of course isn't too absurd guessing off of what they're usually paid, but hollywood in general is all about cutting corners if they can to get an easier profit.
honestly the only thing that keeps me on board for this is that speilberg is on the creative crew
everything he touches from a creativity viewpoint is good or better
In the newest reboot, they took remastered audio of Mel Blanc and made a new cartoon:

I think this is how you remaster a cartoon correctly.
Felt like something that could've been a classic Daffy cartoon to me.
animaniacs had an incredible sense of wit to it that only a 90s cartoon could get away with. a modern reboot would be nothing but a shell of what the show once was.
[editline]30th May 2017[/editline]
nevermind that the animation would almost definitely be a boring by the books production done in flash, completely betraying the show's original hand drawn style that just blows me every time i see it.
Flash is an incredible tool in the right hands

Motor city was/is flash. And it's a fucking masterpiece.

Somehow Titmouse managed to accurately portray what the inside of my head looks like. It's an utter embarrasment that it only got one season. That and Wander Over Yonder are truly fantastic, and disney killed them both way too early.
Wakfu was also animated in Flash.

So just like with everything, it's not the tool, it's the person behind it.
Is this really true? Come on
It's the cheesiest show on Earth and the wife and I love it. :v:
