When did French men become so violent that they would attack a lone female as a group?
i think her being a cop is kind of the bigger factor than her gender here

It's not "French men" as a whole, it's a couple dozen of individuals. Why are you trying to pass judgement on 30 million individuals based on a single video?

Good point, I didn't mean to be sexist, it just seems worse to me that it was a female officer.
That still doesn't really satisfy my mind with an answer to the question I asked though.
Maybe try asking a question that has an actual meaning then.

I wasn't, my apologies, insert "THOSE French men" into my question where appropriate.

A question searches for meaning. That is to say I'm not attempting to convey meaning, but requesting information.

When did those French men become so violent that they would attack a woman? I don't know, maybe some of them were since they were very young, maybe they became violent after puberty, maybe something really pissed them off in the morning and they got violent even though they wouldn't be otherwise... ? Who the fuck knows? What's the point of this question?

Possibly, although I was asking more at the wider causes in society rather than focusing on individual experience. It could just be, as you say, something really pissed them off in the morning.
That is feasible and would explain this. /s
When did French society reach this level? What are the causes? Why are French men attacking police officers? The article does not explain.
I've been turned away from a house party by police, nothing like this happened in the aftermath.

So now you're back to painting all of French society with the same brush? Are you under the impression the entirety of the population does this shit on a daily basis?

Apologies once again, I'm not meaning to tar all the French with actions like this, I truly love the French people and their sexy accents, beautiful culture and ineffable chic, but surely it is a problem in French society that is causing this.
I mean, beating a woman/police officer 10-to-1 or torching hundreds of cars a year points to a societal problem rather than individuals having a bad day.
You could say that the supression of proximity police in favor of enforcers under Sarkozy might have had something to do with it. The police are no longer part of the community, they don't participate in day-to-day life the way they did before. They're seen more by some as those who beat up people during demonstrations and who give you speeding tickets than the friendly face that helps you feel secure. The few instances of police brutality, like the one I mentioned, probably haven't helped either. All of this contributes to giving them an image of antagonism rather than friendliness.

Really informative man, I hugely appreciate you taking the time to explain and not getting hostile like so many others. I didn't mean to slur the French at all.
I've been reading some articles on incidents of French police brutality and many indicate there is a racist element to the actions of the police, with it being primarily black French males dying in incidents where the police were involved.
Would you say it is solely this demographic of males involved in what could be described as 'revenge attacks' against brutality such as the one described in the article, or have there been 'revenge' incidents against the police where white French males were involved?
I'd google it and save you the time, but I'm sure you know how the media is when it comes to matters of race; preferring to ignore any details rather than causing upset.
Wow. Just wow. I'd be dead, cause I would've went in there swinging at the stupid motherfuckers. I wouldn't have cared if there was 20 of em, I'd have fucking murdered one or two of em atleast before they took my big ass down.
and then everyone would clap, right?

she said she didnt like men that wear berets
Holy shit, that was fucked up

This should be cause for self-reflection.

How so?
Women generally are physically more fragile in terms of bone density and muscle mass. The expression "pick on someone your own size" comes to mind.
I guess it could be that I just hold onto the archaic notion that femininity is something sacred and beautiful to be revered and protected; if being a philogynist is sexist, I gladly accept the label.
I'm always grateful for the chance to assume knowledge, should you care to elaborate on your advice.
Poor Twitch. I bet her partner was there, just standing in the corner watching it.
