deep as heck haven't heard that b4 Since Dota 2 is done, Valve no longer has a game in development, and I believe they've almost always had a game in development their entire life as a company, while they have no obligation to uphold that pattern, it would just make sense in general to start development/show development on a game.
Dota 2 isn't "done". Dota 2 will never be "done" if it's long, 10 year history is any indication. The game just had a major revision come out that currently has it's professional scene trying to figure out the new meta. Along with that update were two new heroes which have yet to be added into Dota 2. Dota being "done" isn't a thing.

Unfortunately for us, f2p games like TF2 and Dota 2 might be able to sustain them, and they could opt to never make games ever again, but I doubt it. [editline]17th June 2013[/editline] There are only 11 more champions that need to be added, once they finish the roster then they can release the game along with whatever fixes they feel necessary, and then the game will skate from there. It will of course be done, using your logic no game is ever done until it is abandoned completely, which simply isn't true (but this may be arguing semantics, you know what I mean regardless I'm sure)
I have patiently waited for a team fortress sequel for nine years. I have all the time.
Ah nope, it's just me, Dota 2 !
Doesn't make it sound any less awkward. It sounds like saying "Gabe are releasing a game."
"Valve" is a collection of people. Would you say "the people who work at valve is releasing a game"? No
"Valve" is a collection of people. Would you say "the people who work at valve is releasing a game"? No
to be fair, "Valve's making a game" makes more sense, so "Valve is" would as well. is presently releasing a game are presently releasing a game I don't know, I guess "is" just sounds better.
They'll come out with L4D3, and Alien Swarm 2 before HL3 is announced
I'd be alright with an Alien Swarm 2 if they really improved the gameplay and missions and could find a way to give it a sustainable, long lasting community actively involved in creating custom content. I'd even be alright with a new Left 4 Dead since its been three and a half years since Left 4 Dead 2 was released and it has become next to abandoned. With a new Source engine that would likely allow for much bigger and more involved levels and a lot of new gameplay features, I'd be totally fine with it.
Not everyone is suckling in an imaginary HL3 teet, I just want something new and unique from Valve. We all know they have it in them.
I think im one of the very few excited about this, cause hopefully these means native dota 2 support for Mac and perhaps even linux.
Can't they just focus on TF2? It's a complete mess now.
Can't they just focus on TF2? It's a complete mess now.
Honestly they should drop TF2 imo. They could be doing something better.
I'd be alright with an Alien Swarm 2 if they really improved the gameplay and missions and could find a way to give it a sustainable, long lasting community actively involved in creating custom content.
If they made a new one with a significantly improved level editor built in, with Workshop support, it would probably last a lot longer. Portal 2 really shows that sharing levels like that keeps a community for a while.
when does it come out?? cant wait to play it
what is grammar
(The people at) Valve are releasing a game.

If they start to dislike Dota 2, they go back to LoL.
look at the brightside. Now that DOTA 2 is finally going to "release" that means we'll get some news on whatever they have planned next.
look at the brightside. Now that DOTA 2 is finally going to "release" that means we'll get some news on whatever they have planned next.
Or at least port it to mac. I want to play a MOBA that's not LoL.
look at the brightside. Now that DOTA 2 is finally going to "release" that means we'll get some news on whatever they have planned next.

VALVE ANNOUNCES NEW DOTA 2 ITEMS

VALVE ANNOUNCES NEW DOTA 2 ITEMS

valve announces a new tf2 update where they add like 1 map that people play for like 1 day then never play ever again also crates!!!!!
Pretty sure people are rating it dumb because it is not news. Everyone has been able to play Dota 2 for ages now, and we were always aware that it would have an official release at some point.
I think this is dumb because that headline is clearly written that way to get tons of page views. If the headline said "Valve is releasing DOTA 2" then I would not have clicked on this thread.
Well TF2 isn't "done" either but TF2 doesn't hinder Valve's overall productivity, what I meant is that when they officially release Dota 2 development will slow down and they, as a company, will probably want to make a new game. Also, it's like you neglected to read his post. There are always updates coming out that change a lot of stuff. These are not fixes. They are changes. The game is continually changing. Dota 2 isn't done until IceFrog decides there is nothing left to change and everything is perfect, which probably won't happen. Not in a long while at least. Also, because there are a few heroes from the original Dota not in Dota 2 yet doesn't mean they will be the last heroes ever. I read something about IceFrog considering creating more heroes once all the others are finished and ingame.
Or at least port it to mac. I want to play a MOBA that's not LoL.
Don't play LoL. You could be playing HoN instead, or wine wrapping dota was surprisingly easy. First time wine wrapping anything and this video basically did everything for me. There are some minor graphical issues, but it beats playing LoL in my opinion.
Speaking of Valve, I did email Robin about Valve working on anything new.
Never gotten an invite. Feels good.
So, you never wanted an invite. Okay. Also, did you even sign up for the beta? (Hint: It's not even mandatory for acquiring a Dota2 invite)
Can't they just focus on TF2? It's a complete mess now.
its still a fun game if you drop the "everyone only wants to trade!!" prejudicement theres one problem tho, its a cartoony f2p game, so it attracts a LOT of braindead people
three and a half years since Left 4 Dead 2 was released .
Jesus
