Well they are a different alien origin, so I recommand making them look Alien way different, I would wish for a different skin color like a tealish or a light purple skin tone, and have some type of ritual markings in a way to symbolize their culture, but not really go overboard like the elves in Dragon Age, need to look more sci-fish.

I liked her in the first game, she gave you a lot of information about her race and it's history. In the second I could feel the developers tried to appeal to the talimancers and it ruined the character for me.
I expect she won't look that strange. So far half of her face seems pretty human but mouth and ears could give a lot of opportunity for making Quarians unique.
Tali is much like the pyro in tf2.

I remember an NPC in Mass Effect 2 I believe saying something about seeing a Quarian without a mask and that they were beautiful, it would be weird to make tali ugly as shit after that.
