Lets go back to the time where there only were bacteria on earth.
Bacterias Creed
I was thinking more like this:
WWII, Hitler didn't commit suicide, an assassin killed him.
the irony
edit:
Even better,
Samurai's Creed: Seppukku
Feudal Japan or some other part of Asia could be interesting.
Oh man AssCreed 3 is the end of Desmond, I guess they're not stupid and they realized how much everyone hates that plot it's the worst long-running plot in all of games!
What they mean by trilogy is
Assassin's Creed 1
- Sub games -
Assassin's Creed 2
- Sub games like Brotherhood and Rev -
Assassin's Creed 3
- Sub Games -
Each major game sets the story and setting for the games that follow under its name.
The devs said they'll probably make around 30 games if they can create enough stories.

That is what actually happened in AC lore. Hitler killed his Body Double and tried to escape, but was stopped by an assassin.
AC: Persia.
You have to assassinate Alexander
Further back? We've already seen the crusades, so unless they want to go Feudal/pre-Feudal...wait...Ancient Rome could be interesting. Or, Han China.
They're going to do the U.S. Civil War, just watch...
Then the World Wars, then Korea and 'Nam, then Desert Storm and the War on Terror... :v:
So much for that dev that said Assassins Creed was going to be a Trilogy, guess money took over that idea.
Pretty sure Ubisoft said a while back that they could keep the games going for another 8 years, or something ridiculous.
[editline]21st March 2012[/editline]
Wait, 10 was the number they mentioned, my bad.

I'd buy that shit.
Assassin's Creed 4: You are a neanderthal in a white and red loin-cloth, and you run around killing others by beating them over the head with a large club
I hate when devs talk about sequels to games that aren't out yet, can they not think of enough to say about the game they're making right now and have to go every farther into the future?

Talking about the future of the franchise keeps people excited about whats to come while keeping their current project somewhat shrouded before the release. With 7 months before the release of AC:3, they aren't going to want to reveal too much about it.
I'm just happy that they have no intention to stop making these amazing games. I was actually expecting the next game in the series to be set in Victorian England before Brotherhood came out.
The only problem I can see is players getting used to all these cool toys and suddenly not having them anymore in the next game
Hidden wrist pistol turns into hidden wrist blowpipe, im okay with that
Argh, I want a fucking present day Assasin's creed.
Give Desmond a sniper rifle, hidden blades and actual light cloaking into one of the major cities. I think he's more than fucking ready after spending a few years into a simulator training his skills. Presumably.
Starting to sound like too many games...
At least people like them... Heres to hoping they don't screw it up.
It annoys me to hear that there are already further plans, they seem to produce these games at such a fast rate. It sure hurts the quality of the games, hopefully they won't hold content back to add it in further installements.
I am a real AC fan but this always worries me, Ubisoft being in charge makes it even worse.
I can't be the only one that thinks that Assassin's Creed in the distant future would be one of the most fun concepts ever.

Oh yes! Space Desmond fights alien Templars with hidden laser blades and his trusty laser crossbow.
FINALLY!
I can invent the wheel via assassination!
Assassin's Creed 4: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
An Assassin's Creed game where you play as Desmond with his memories fucked up by the Animus leading him to think he's still an Assassin in the modern world would be pretty cool.
But I don't really see how that would work with the story if they move back in time again.
I mean
[sp]They are (or were) hunting the Apple of Eden by checking through their ancestral memories. Both Altïar and Ezio interacted with the Apple. Why else would they need to get back? They have what they were looking for. Wouldn't it be more logical with a game that takes time in the modern era entirely so that you can defeat the Templars for good and help "those who came before" or something?[/sp]

Desmond IS an assassin. And that is basically what Revelations is all about. Not that he's an assassin, but that the Animus has fucked up.
I like how some people didn't read the article and are complaining. AC is still a trilogy. Desmond's story will end with AC3 (as indicated by the article). Future games will be different stories, which I think is ok.
I want closure, but it would seem stupid for Ubi to drop an entire universe from their development.

That's not stupid? It's called an ending, every game/series has one. AC should get one soon as well.
Why don't we wait until we see how Assassin's Creed III ends and where the story goes before we speculate.
You play a caveman and all the dinosaurs are templars
