To be frank, the bow looks more than just a simple bow. Perhaps they might add some cool stuff on it. Thermal vision sights or some crap like that.
There is Nano vision for that
Ive been playing Far Cry 1 recently and here are my two cents:
Linear. Exploring is pointless. Most places that avoids the main path is dead empty.
Steep learning curve. Died many times at the first merc camp.
Terrible voice acting. Need I explain?
Lack of weapons. Has the default set of weapons but lacks variety or any sense of uniqueness so far.
Dull/confusing plot. Nothing has picked up. Mutants on an island so far, enhancing humans, etc.
Fun for a bit, gets boring fast. There is nothing in this game that makes me want to go back.
I find Crysis 2 way loads more fun than Far Cry, which is, in my opinion, dull and lacking.

Crysis 2 was a good game. They are not going to make it how some people want it, which is a carbon copy of C1.
No one can explain why C2 is a bad game without the 'its not c1' argument.
There was obviously a huge difference for each one's reception when people still talk about how great Far Cry was whereas people forgot about Crysis 2 a month after it was released.
For a game about nanosuits, immortality, alien attacks, and floating Central Parks, a lot of people seem to get hung up on the bow. I wonder if Crytek anticipated that.
Where does he store the arrows? Where is the quiver? Those arrows are huge so I cannot expect him to carry more than a handful of them.
The same place he stores his several guns and huge amounts of ammo.
MAXIMUM Pockets.
Why don't they ditch Crysis and just continue the story from Farcry 1 and cut the shitty job Ubisoft are doing. That predator shit was insanely fun, especially online.

In half life you have like ten guns, I dont see you bitching about that.
The same place he stores his several guns and huge amounts of ammo.
They used to.
Far Cry 1 is probably the epitome of a perfect FPS with exploration. Crysis 1 was ok and Warhead was awesome, but after Crysis 2 they have completely failed at making a good game.
that's a bit much. Cryis was, as you said, OK, and Warhead was great, but Crysis 2 wasn't really as bad as it was just bland in comparison. if anything Crysis 2 was slightly above average in terms of FPS games these days, but it was still average, if you see what I'm saying.

Because Ubisoft owns Far Cry IP.
was (still am) skeptical but honestly the preview looked p fun
the 3 paths thing at first seemed a bit "ok so i can choose between 3 dirt paths wow fun fun fun" but it seems like the paths are actually p major parts of playing through a level, and the gunplay they showed, jumping around, using explosive/electric arrows and things like that, kinda reminds me of why i liked the original crysis: feeling like a badass and just coming up with fun, creative, cool ways to kill everyone
I'm not going to lie to any of you, the only thing that had me playing the first Crysis were the graphics, and that wasn't a bad thing. The graphics were literally so good that it made the game a blast to play. But now, the graphics of other games are surpassing even Crysis, and this game doesn't look graphically impressive in the least respect compared to the other games in its generation. The Crysis series is losing the main thing it had to it's name for me.
mutants
Yeah the mutants were a bit of a cheap cop-out but it was still pretty fun.

It wasn't really about exploring. Yes, it would have been nice but the extra locations to go were basically more alternatives on how to approach enemies. Different ways to sneak around and advantage points and what not.
Learning curve is pretty harsh yeah, but its still not horrifically one sided toward the enemies. Crysis 2 was way too easy.
So what? :v:
To be fair, I can't even remember any of the weapons in Crysis 2 where as I can remember the weapons in FC1 I can remember much easily. Perhaps it was because FC1's guns felt powerful.
Yeah, plot wasn't all together. I'll give you that.
I dunno why, I must have replayed through FC1 at least 6 times when I first got the game. :v:
