Bethesda has a reputation for shipping out hilariously bug-ridden games. On top of that, people just like to poke fun at them about it, so really this is to be expected.
I know, I don't know why but I have never encountered anything game breaking when playing fo3 or fnv
I know, I don't know why but I have never encountered anything game breaking when playing fo3 or fnv
The worst I've ever encountered was Skyrim where I ran into a singular bug that prevented me from doing a quest and having it in my questlog forever. If you loot that guy who gets executed's Amulet of Talos before talking to his living sister and getting the quest to get that Amulet, the quest won't finish even if you go "oh look I've already got that."
guess only having 4 choices in dialog really speeds up development?
It looks similar to mass effect. You have four options on a wheel, but each one leads down different dialog paths I.e. one being "more info". I highly doubt you will only be able to say four things in dialog, you'll just only have four options at any given second.
I'd love to buy Fallout 4, but it's insane that it costs like 80 USD (R$250) here, while most releases are 50-40 USD (120-90 BRL). Sadly, I'll have to wait for a big sale so I can hopefully get it for the common release price :suicide:
Holy shit I feel bad for you, that's expensive. We have something similar here in Norway for a lot of titles, but then again we're a pretty expensive country
When has a 3d fallout game ever shipped out without game breaking bugs.
its almost a part of the experience!
Holy shit I feel bad for you, that's expensive. We have something similar here in Norway for a lot of titles, but then again we're a pretty expensive country
Yeah, it's bad because you know, it's Brazil, everything else is also expensive, not just a game. Anyway, I have bad feelings about this since it was never like this, all games here had a reasonable price like I said. Suddenly Fallout 4 and other 2 releases (I think the new Hitman is also somewhere at 200+ BRL) are twice the common release price. I'm still to find out what the hell is going on, because almost 80 dollars for a single game is a huge bullshit. Nah, I'll just hope they change that stupid price just like happened to the Mortal Kombat months ago (it was also announced here on Steam for almost 80 dollars)
imagine if it really just works
Is this news? I thought Todd already said it's 'pretty much done' at the E3 conference.
Bethesda-made or Bethesda-published Because the former is undeniable but the latter has a few titles.
bethesda made of course silly Dishonored is an example of a very well optimized game after all
I know it's not a terribly graphically heavy game, but yeah, dishonored was really well optimized. I get 90+ fps constant maxed out at 1440p on my 680.
maybe it'll ship without game breaking bugs..
Am I the only person that hasn't had my computer self-destruct while playing Fallout? I mean there are the usual goofy bugs like ragdoll physics, enemies spawning occasionally inside of walls, etc.. but I've yet to have anything serious or game-breaking occur to me, and I have like 500 hours combined in 3 and New Vegas. Are you guys sure you're not just jumping on the bug-bandwagon with all this stuff?
Preorders are certainly going to suffer, though. As a result of Batman: Arkham Knight's launch and Steam's refund system, people are going to be more careful about preordering, which is a good thing. We'll just have to wait and see if Fallout 4 will perform well on PC. Bethesda's previous launches haven't been exactly flawless.
yeah no bud me and about a million other people immediately pre-ordered that shit this game's gonna be the bomb
yeah no bud me and about a million other people immediately pre-ordered that shit this game's gonna be the bomb
Like did you see how fucking fast those pip-boy editions sold out? I barely got mine.
When has a 3d fallout game ever shipped out without game breaking bugs.
Brotherhood of Steel
Brotherhood of Steel
Not from my memory, as much as I enjoyed it.
Prepatch Bethesda games are notoriously buggy, it's not like the bandwagon is built on nothing.
I played New Vegas straight from release day and still had no issues. People keep saying "notoriously buggy", just because it's notorious doesn't mean it's true. I get the feeling 90% of the notoriety just comes from people repeating the phrase "notoriously buggy".
I'm playing through New Vegas right now, only having the occasional crash. Summer Smiles' dog with the eyes out of its sockets is still there though. Experienced a lot of crashes and glitches when I first played 3 though.

It may help to put a lot of play time into the game, I'm ~1800 hours in so I've pretty much seen every single way FNV can summon the kraken.

It pisses me off so much when idiots don't know the difference between publishers and developers. I felt really bad for Arkane Studios at the time.
