I upgraded and I can't find the boot to desktop option. :(
Also it took a while to install, so you might want to find something to entertain yourself until it finishes.

4.0 works flawlessly
8.1 seems fine, apart from how ugly my Start screen now looks. Colors out the ass.

this is the first time I've seen a keyboard with shortcuts printed on the keys.
[editline]17th October 2013[/editline]
besides those special media keys
No 8.1 here. Am I doing something wrong?
3.62 GB. This is gonna take a while.
I can not wait.
Really liked the new customization options.
Just got it installed, 10/10 would install again
The only thing I use that got added with 8.1 is the ability to use desktop wallpaper for the start screen.
The other things are nice to have I guess. ( at work I often use the right click start menu (or win+x ))
StarDock's Start8 is nice too. Same functionality as the Windows 7 start menu with shortcut to Metro apps and looks a bit more Windows 8'ey.

Fuck knows why Microsoft haven't bought Stardock yet.
Yeah it's nice but it's $5.

$2 more than SiB. As far as I know you can install it on as many computers you want as well.
There are no limitations in trial version. After installing it runs for 30 days. If you don't activate it with license number you bought within 30 days, it will still work, but in limited mode: Start Menu will be blank and non-customizable; every boot you'll be nagged about evaluation period over. Trial period runs for each user which have installed StartIsBack on one PC separately.
Meh, my update process after the first restart just fails, fails to recover, freezes again and then kicks me back to win8 with an apology note.
