It's fact until I and the facts from the book get proven otherwise by the writer himself, who's working closely on this project. End of.
i don't understand any of that
Hope it's much longer and richer in content than 2033.
Can't wait for this. I loved Metro 2033 and I hope they can make a good followup
Hope it's much longer and richer in content than 2033.
They talked about that in an earlier interview about making the game longer in many ways (exploring, secrets, difficulty etc etc), here's to hoping they fullfill that.
so now you're saying you know for a fact it's not artyom? tell me why they wouldn't change something like that around when they changed so much from the first game? you never had all sorts of crazy adventures with Bourbon in the book, Artyom only knew him for a little bit before he died in the tunnel, yet in the game you're with him for a while and you fight off all these bandits only for him to get killed by the bandit leader guy
A lack of proof can not be your proof. If they wanted us to think it was Artyom, they would have had the lady say Artyom. Hell, the only reason we think the baby is the same person at the end is the song.
it doesn't matter who was the person at the end of the live action since it wasn't gameplay.
it doesn't matter who was the person at the end of the live action since it wasn't gameplay.
What? No. It can very well matter. The game is about the story first, gameplay second.
Cant wait for the game, isn't it supposed to be more optimized than the last ?
Supposedly, it is.
What? No. It can very well matter. Can't we just say it *might* be Artyom? I liked the old watch and icy landscape more, but everything else looks fantastic so far. Not sure how the increase of supernatural elements will mix with the down-to-earth survival aspects, but it's certainly not impossible to pull off. I mean Half-Life combined weird aliens with grittiness, certainly this isn't far-fetched either.
Release date aka: the date at which i upgrade my pc again.
it's similar, and there's no reason it would just be a random person she handed him to his "uncle" whom was a soldier at the time as they were fleeing the station, like the woman in the trailer hands the baby to the uniformed man
Read the book you bum.
um i read the book, and what happens in the trailer is similar to what happened to Arytom holy shit i even explained it in the post you quoted
Hasn't it been confirmed multiple times that the game and book don't follow each other? I don't recall running into the cult of the worm people in the game.
Yeah you're right, man i would love it if the worm people was in last light, that section of the book was good.
Really, arguing over if it's Artyom or not? It's who ever the fuck you want it to be. It could be be Artyom, some random person or the bleedin pope for all you should care. Just enjoy the live action for what it is.
They talked about that in an earlier interview about making the game longer in many ways (exploring, secrets, difficulty etc etc), here's to hoping they fullfill that.
Sounds promising then.
Computers exist which can max out Metro 2033 without exploding? QUICK! MAKE A NEW ONE!
um i read the book, and what happens in the trailer is similar to what happened to Arytom holy shit i even explained it in the post you quoted
Remember in Halo: Reach how that game was entirely cannon with the story line the books set up (Ghost of onyx)? Remember in the Halo 3 Live action trailer which showed a scale model battlefield with masterchief dead? Remember how all that shit happened in the game? Trailers hype up the game, they're not showing whats going to happen in the story.
I wish the whole church part in the book was implemented into the game. That was pretty funny.
Is..that a nixie tube watch? (From the gameplay video on the first page) Adfsdf it is. AWESOME. I love nixies [editline]30th May 2012[/editline]
I hope they keep the old watch that Metro 2033 had, the new one doesn't really fit the game.
I dunno, I think a nixie tube watch fits really well
The second book was shit. It completely ignored all the crap to do with the Dark Ones and the only good part was the fact they established there was life outside of Moscow. This is following up on Artyom and his interaction with the Dark Ones which is clearly the bigger issue than what happens with Hunter.
The Dark Ones were all dead at that point though. I enjoyed 2034 almost as much as 2033. The game is completely diverging from the books from now on which is fine, but the wasteland above ground feels much less hostile when it isn't a frozen shithole anymore.
Some of the parts still look hostile especially when its stormy and dark
That's because the stormy darkness obscures it.
I really hope this doesn't suffer from consolisation
