Mojang deserves the money, Minecraft is a great project which evolved into a great game. Unique gameplay and awesome features. Unfortunately there were some bad times where the game was getting worse due to the patches.
Nevertheless the game is cool.

Yeah the last beta patches were poorly thought out. It didn't need an ending. It didn't need enchanting or potions in its current form, that only made things more complicated than this game needed to be.
