Just uncheck GeForce Experience during the installation?
I didn't even see a checkbox whenever I tried iirc
you can use the shadowplay system from a different program like OBS anyways.
hooooly fuck thank you i can encode 1440p 60FPS 50MBPS now HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS
take the 20 seconds to make an nvidia account, log in, and forget it exists you absolute babies. I'll never understand "but the principal of it all" arguments over these kind of situations
I didn't even see a checkbox whenever I tried iirc
Do a custom installation and you'll see the checkbox
I didn't even see a checkbox whenever I tried iirc
It was always there, even before GFE was a thing. You just have to go in the "custom installation", next step you get all components listed and there you can just uncheck GFE. (Sorry for the German screenshots.)
Lol what is it with fp users and hating to log into anything that isn't steam?
Lol what is it with fp users and hating to log into anything that isn't steam?
Actually it's people in general. It's just... annoying to have to create an account for everything nowadays.
Most things i'd already created accounts for anyway but yeah i guess i can see why it'd get annoying
i shouldn't have to create an account to update my drivers or change the fucking shadowplay settings
[thumb] http://i.imgur.com/NNrJTBa.png [/thumb] [thumb] http://i.imgur.com/XsXYLop.png [/thumb] THE NEW GEFORCE EXPERIENCE
Same happened to me, tried installing the update, the installer crashed after it uninstalled the program from my PC. Thanks Nvidia, I was too lazy to do it myself.
it's not a huge thing to do it or whatever, but i really hate the way they're just shoving this shit down your throat
tbh after having the amount of bluescreens I've had due to updating via GFE I don't think I'll ever use it (on a 770, a 970, windows 7, 8 and even 10 no less) maybe I'll try it again, idk, but fucking christ. Updating my drivers NEVER give me issues. and get GFE fucked it up.

My main complaint is the unskippable "Game detection" step, where it seems to scan through every single file on my entire harddrive in the foreground, with no way to skip / abort / background it. I guess I'll be able to start using GFE in a few days or so once it's finished with all my data then.
Help I cannot find older versions of geforce experience... [editline]8th September 2016[/editline] More company wants to collect my information through logging in. [editline]8th September 2016[/editline] nvm, found an installation on my pc!
Welp, time to switch to OBS. Only reason why I even used GeForce was for Shadowplay, I don't want to sign into apps just to be able to record shit.
New GFE looks fine. Starts up faster and works smoother. I like it. [editline]8th September 2016[/editline] Also I used the one downloaded from Nvidia's website.
I really wish I could replace Shadowplay with OBS but it's still lacking some stuff. Last I tried OBS Studio it didn't have shadow capture (and I loved the multiple audio channel capture). Meanwhile the normal OBS had shadow capture but fuck-all for audio channels. Neither is as convenient as Shadowplay either, since it starts at system startup and you don't need to remember to turn it on at all.

I remember trying one of the first betas, and being annoyed that it'd pop up with this giant message as soon as I launched the game. Is there an option to turn that off now?
