This might sound silly, but the thing I want most in my DooM game is the sampled metal music.
So when do we actually get to see this video/gameplay ourselves?
Bethesda's security would've been tight as hell before going into the panel and probably reinforced the idea that it was a no camera zone a bunch of times. We probably won't get any leaks today. I hope the reveal for us is in like a week or something after they've gathered the panel's audience reaction and fine tuned the stuff maybe. (That might be what they're doing, who knows)

Hell if they did both, alternating between heavy metal fuck yeah and Reznor's tracks of grim technogothic foreboding, it could make for a game with decent beats, the heavy metal fuck yeah being for the intense vicious bloody battles and the grim technogothic foreboding being for the slightly slower bits of downtime in between the carnage.

Well, there'd probably be licensing gubbins required, and it'd mean you probably couldn't do a playthrough on YouTube due to potential copyright strikes.

Haven't had the chance to play it yet, but his track is as badass as I imagined it would be.
Dude, wolf's ost is so fucking good. I'd recommend tracking it down and listening to the whole thing, regardless of what you think of the game.
I really hope the next Doom Demon look would be more friendly to the first two doom games. Tbh Doom 3 Demons looks like shit
From the look of the cyber demon in the teaser, these are gonna be good.

Not that there's nothing wrong with that -- the Cyberdemon was always a mix between machine and demon.
I'm mostly excited to see the imps. They'd better be spiky.
I'm mostly excited to see the imps. They'd better be spiky.
And without spider eyes, possibly
According to one dude on Doomworld they had more of a giger/aliens-ish look to them.
According to places on 4chan, Sgt. Mark is actually pissed off that they essentially 'copied him without credit' and that his modding amounted to a triple-A title doing what he did but he'll get nothing for it. Apparently this comes his own posts there and everyone's passing them around.
And if they released the footage they would get sued out their asses. They probably had to sign NDAs or some shit.
Yeah okay because they'll know who did it right. Totally. The goal is to not get caught.

Anyone got that vid of Stephen Colbert saying DOOOOOOOOOOM? ontopic: I like where this is going, but the arm thing seems like scripted events at best.

sgt. mark's tears are delicious. i wonder if he seriously thinks that ID is trying to trump him or something
Sgt. Mark is clearly the inventor of the entire concept of gore/violence, they should need to pay him royalties
uh yeah
I'm going to have to disagree and say that the quality of art or an argument is determined by the qualities of said piece when judged against its peers in a vacuum and not determined by the actions of the creator. Truths and qualities do not dissolve because the person stating them is a dick. Do Dr. Seuss' brilliant children's books lose their meaning and optimism because the man himself was a gigantic racist? If a scientist working on the team that created the cure for AIDS was found out to be a rapist, would it be our responsibility to boycott the cure because otherwise we are supporting rapists? If a man like Joseph Stalin said "F=MA" would this universal truth cease to be correct simply because he said it and he's not a good man? [editline]18th July 2014[/editline] I mean, there's a name for thinking like yours; it's ad hominem. Something put forward by somebody is not made false or wrong because of the nature of somebody's character.
I kinda get why he's so pissed, but jesus he's overreacting like some amped up dramaqueen. Someone give him a Snickers™.
what's so difficult about me not wanting to play a .wad made by a sociopathic neo-nazi?
It's not that you dislike it, it's that you seem to feel that the quality of the game is directly related to the beliefs of the creator. You have openly insulted us, calling us, (and I quote,) "moron gamers" in the process of explaining why you thought the game was terrible. This is all because we enjoyed the game that the person you personally dislike made. I think that this assault on the quality of the game and our intelligence because of the beliefs of the creator is childish and uncalled for.
While I don't care much for BD or its creator, calling people morons because they enjoy is unnecessary and immature. Just because it isn't your thing doesn't mean it shouldn't be anyone else's. Certainly doesn't make you any smarter for not liking it.

[editline]18th July 2014[/editline] you know guys, you really shouldn't give mein kampf a bad name, sure it was written by adolf hitler, but you should let the body of work speak for itself!

Mein kampf was the manifesto of a power hungry dictator, and Brutal Doom is a mod by some guy that has nothing to do with his dodgy opinions? ????????????? [editline]19th July 2014[/editline] ??????????????????????????????
I hope this next Doom will the most epic and brutal experience of all time. I love Brutal Doom because it's so epic and brutal, all the gore is epic and brutal and I think that's super epic and brutal. They say the next doom will have these brutal death scenes, and that sounds totally epic to me. You could even beat an Imp with his own arm, which sounds really epic and brutal to me.

I mean, it's totally possible to respect and appreciate something without liking the creator. It is also possible to make an argument without going straight to Hitler for an analogy, but even then your analogy sucks because you should be judging Mein Kampf because of the content in Mein Kampf - not because of Hitler. That's a logical fallacy. You're a logical fallacy. Your mom is a logical fallacy.
i dunno, imagine if they weren't inspired by Brutal Doom and just wanted to make a really fucking gnarly game???
