UT2004 is dying, the player base is extremely low these days.
A PC exclusive sequel to it would probably be very well received.
UT3 was too much of a terrible port.
My problem with UT3 was that it was so bland, it was lacking in a lot of areas and everything just felt half assed in general. I got bored of it within a week. Lets take a look at UT2k4 for a second, it had a huge roster of characters (granted a good few of them were basically pallete swaps but that's besides the point), a butt load of maps and a good amount of game modes. It felt like all of this was missing in UT3 to me and it felt like they didn't even try to live up to the previous UT games. Plus it didn't help that everything seemed like it was in monochrome whereas UT2004 was fairly vibrant. Really, the only thing I liked out of the entire game was the ability to customize your character and even that was kind of limited.
