Why don't you go into a CS:GO or TF2 update thread and complain there that the game is being supported instead of all manpower being on EP3? Seems like you've got some sort of issue with Dota 2.

Because TF2 and CS:GO are originally Valve's games anyway, Dota 2 was picked up randomly and at this point it does nothing but give Valve something to be using as their "current game" instead of being either empty handed or moving onto a different game.

Actually neither games started from Valve. Most of Valve's games weren't technically their own, they picked them up or the ideas up from college students or smaller developers (Turtle Rock)
Team Fortress was originally a Quake Mod, and you can thank Turtle Rock for the Left 4 Dead and Counter Strike series, you can also thank a small team of college students that Valve acquired for Portal and so Portal 2.
Gabe enjoyed MOBA games, so does most of the Valve team, so they decided to work with Icefrog, the original developer of DOTA, to make a new game to fill a niche left by HoN and LoL. Far from random. From from normal with Valve.
Did you ever think that maybe Valve hasn't released a lot of info on EP3 because they don't want to? Maybe they don't even want to work on it since they are free to do what they want.

look, Dota isn't the reason Valve wasn't working on the [precious Half Life, in fact they've already been in development for it as well as Source 2
dota might not be your traditional cup of tea, but the fact is it's a game that millions of people from around the world are going to enjoy. Even if it was true that they heavily shifted focus from other games to Dota 2- if you think that's a bad thing you're probably stupid.
