Not that I doubt you but everyone says it's p2w yet no one explains why.
I'd like an AoE with good gameplay like AoE2.
But specifically naval gameplay that makes sense and is fair.

Without premium, you can't use any Rare/Legendary items, can't use Advisers, Less Inventory, Less quest lines, and some more.
When you get far into the game you will really want to use those Rare items.

It's a one time purchase so I basically see playing it for free as being a demo, it's not like there's a subscription fee for VIP or anything. Basically like guild wars 2's system.
AoE2 is clearly the best, especially when spamming "wololo".
