I guess the titan x will definitely future proof your system. The grand investment might be worth it if you have a decent job.
I guess the titan x will definitely future proof your system.
$1k isn't really expensive for gaming.
Yea man, I bought two of them last month. 1 for the computer, and 1 for my chair so I can keep my ass warm at night.
The thread title discriminates against people who have two or three Titan Xs, please change it immediately
The only fucking single card on the market that can max out the game at 1080p without tanking into the 40 fps range.
The only fucking single card on the market that can max out the game at 1080p without tanking into the 40 fps range.
Um what? My 980 runs it fine with 60fps on max settings. With the hair enabled its only sometimes dips to 52 at the lowest.
Yeah my 290 runs it fine too. Without the hair of course because enabling nvidea stuff on AMD cards kills the frame rate.
Yeah my 290 runs it fine too.
Holy shit he has pages of keys and endless duplicate items
What about it
The 980 is terrible price/performance. It's a midrange card priced high end because it doesn't have any competition at the moment.
Terrible price / performance maybe but calling the 980 a midrange card? Yeah no. I don't have any issues running Witcher 3 (which I got for free with my 970) maxed out at 1080 on my 970. Sometimes the frame rate has a momentary dip but it's never really an issue.
i can buy like 3. They aren't really expensive once you get a job.
Most people have other expenses to that means they can't afford things like this very easily. Maybe people could buy it but for most people it's not worth it for how much that much money is worth to them.
What about it
you really aren't the guy that can asses whats "Too expensive" or "Not expensive" for gaming

The 980 is a gimped version of the chip, barely above the 970. Once the 980ti and r9 390/x drop I think it will become very apparent how midrange it is. Edit: I think we're working off different definitions. Low/mid/high range has nothing to do with performance in current games. It has to do with the technical specifications in it's respective architecture/generation. In my bin of parts I have a GTX 285. It is a very high range card. Basically the pinnacle of the Tesla architecture. It gets shit performance in current games though.
I got Witcher 3 free with my 970.
you really aren't the guy that can asses whats "Too expensive" or "Not expensive" for gaming
Having a few hundred keys when your entire income is tf2 isn't really revealing in any way
buying 3 at once would of course put a dent in someones economy i just mean that if you have a job and save some money every pay day you can easily afford even expensive items.
You're assuming everyone's circumstances are the same as yours. Unfortunately we're not all so privileged and often need all the money one earns and not for frivolous purchases like a fucking super GPU. I get the point you're trying to make but you're being a shortsighted prick.
i can buy like 3. They aren't really expensive once you get a job.
I too could afford a couple Titans, but that doesn't mean it would be a good idea. I it seems to me that you'd get a way better bang for your buck with a 500$ card.
people here are trying to justify $1000 for a graphics card solely because you have a job and lives at home - being able to save up. it's not realistic when you have a rent etc.
I pay half the rent even though i live at home and i dont even have a job anymore since i quit to start studying yet i saved my money.
I pay half the rent even though i live at home and i dont even have a job anymore since i quit to start studying yet i saved my money.
Okay but would you spend $3000 on three graphics cards? I've just started a job that gives me forty hours a week for above minimum wage (first one like this), but it's mostly money for rent and tuition (Even then it'll be just getting by when it comes to the end of the month) - not $1000 computer parts.

I would possibly buy one for my computer, but the thing i was trying to get through to you people that the titan isnt a multimillion dollar car you'll never afford with a normal job like a lot of you seem to believe, thinking everyone with a titan has close to an unlimited fund of money. I'm trying to say that saving money can get you one.
i can buy like 3. They aren't really expensive once you get a job.
idk how sweden works but in america that's still really expensive WITH a job.
people here are trying to justify $1000 for a graphics card solely because you have a job and lives at home - being able to save up. it's not realistic when you have a rent etc.
Kind of a silly post. I have rent.
$1k isn't really expensive for gaming.
300 isn't expensive. 1,000 and you could get a midrange machine that would last for 3 to 7 years.
$1k isn't really expensive for gaming.
My entire computer cost $1000, until recently when I upgraded my CPU, PSU and GPU. It's at $1900 now with the i7, 750watt power supply and GTX 970. But Witcher 3 came with my 970 for free on Amazon, so..

Maybe you should work somewhere else other than mcdonalds, I paid 700 euro for my gpu A year ago and about 750 for one monitor 3 weeks ago. Its all not that hard to affort when you have a decent job and it'll last awhile.

Please don't make this a game of "lol i got more money" I have a gtx 970 and a 144 hz monitor as my most pricey things, so it's not as if I'm broke as shit, but anyone with even an extremely high amount of money should easily be able to understand why a titan x is very pricey I'm not talking about the price of just the titan x as a note, I'm talking about the price of the entire system as a result of getting one, and how it's the most pricey gaming gpu currently out there outside of sli set ups. Show me a gaming GPU that costs close to a titanx, aside from another titan. even a 980 is less expensive than that. you'd have to be dumb to not see that a titan x for most people is a high price to pay for gaming when most people can't actually generally afford it.most people are also not willing to spend 1000$ for the gpu alone either. The only people who really spend that type of money on a PC are the ones who are huge enthusiasts who really love modding and massively extending their settings, regardless of payrate, and people who have more money than brains, and bought it so that they could play games that could run at 200 fps on a toaster, and drink gamerfuel.
This fucking thread holy shit
