that's what they aaaaalways say i have sort of high hopes for the next generation tho
64 players on consoles please.
cool, now make the gameplay as engaging as battlefield 2's
how about this instead of a modern rehash we do a 2142 rehash make it exactly the same as 2142, same maps, same weapons for now, different ~attachments~ for them upgrade the graphics so it looks pretty and you have at least more than half of your profit coming back at you, DICE/EA.
I can completely understand why they are making Battlefield 4 so soon now, it'd be great shipping with next-gen trying to gather the players into the genre. I'm ok with this honestly :)

I'm not willing to spend 60 dollars on that and then another 60 on Battlefield 4 Premium. If they are going to release it this soon, It better have something new.
oh and let's hope its system requirements won't be much higher than BF3's
Dice please add voip

Yet it was non existent in comparison, to be honest
cool, now make the gameplay as engaging as battlefield 2's
Yes, because running around with guns that can't hit shit half the time being killed by dolphin divers is engaging. Vehicle combat was great and still is. But if you think infantry was even close to better, then you need to take your nostalgia goggles off.
oh and let's hope its system requirements won't be much higher than BF3's
And that it has a better campaign.
“At a GameStop company meeting earlier this week, we gave 500 store managers a sneak peak at Battlefield 4,”
I hope us non-gamestop-employed peasants are allowed to see it's majesty before too long.
If this is enough of an advancement, I'm all for it. Battlefield 3, despite its hated nature (which I sometimes feel is largely just because it's popular here on facepunch), was really a fun game. If this is for next generation consoles, I'd be willing to bet it'll look amazing on PC, especially if the difference is like that between the console and PC version of BF3. Hell, with enough effort, I'm confident that near-CGI quality graphics are more than possible. Especially considering how good games like Crysis and Gears of War can look on the 360, which is around 6 years old and has less processing power than my phone. Of course, it could just be another generic shooter too, guess we'll see.
Its only astonishing if it has Red faction 1 level of destruction.
what about mod tools
The last multiplayer game I've played that didn't have voice chat was Opposing Force. Why the fuck is it not in Battlefield 3? It came out in 2011.

Dice, please, step out of the Modern Warfare era and do something new when you start working on your next IP. That way, when it gets popular, it'll inspire other developers to do the same. P.S. Less of a washed out look and more of a lively environment
Please make it so you can take more than 2-4 hits before dying, make it possible to actually see shit, remove the ugly filters and for christ sakes, remove that god awful suppression effect. Then I'll be interested.
what about mod tools
What are those?
