I do wonder if Valve's a tad pissed they didn't sack these guys before they established themselves a name. They certainly have a history of snagging promising mod team like an African warlord and then giving them a proper budget and resources and treating them like Santa.
Would not make sense at all since rocket and his team are all from bohemia and even got the maker of the engine itself at hand. In short: They did not need to buy a license to the engine since they belong to bohemia and would only accept a partnership with valve nothing more.
By the way they got all the funds they ever need that's why they focus on the best possible product instead of sales.

Also valve are total bros since they support them in every way possible, even with server management. I think valve will shit their pants in profit when release will be there on steam.
If it's possible to enter every building in the standalone then that alone will have sold it for me.
Some beefed up anti-cheat would be appreciated too.

Most buildings will be enterable and those who don't will be destroyed apocalypse style
Anti cheat? well they use VAC so what do you want more!
im not a developer
no you're just a baby wanting to be spoon-fed.
Let's hope that zombies will actually work with these groundbreaking changes
I had no idea it was supposed to release in December. That seems too early to me. Maybe June of this year maybe.
Had to get it out asap before people flock to the clearly superior master game - The WarZ.

But there really is nothing to do in DayZ right now. Survive? You can get enough stuff to survive in a couple of hours and then there's nothing else to do.

Fixing vehicles are pretty much end game.

iirc theres going to be some new end game features, crashed helicopters and the "secret" radio are currently a small teaser of that.
tho imo dayz is a bit too much of a time waste and by my standards even arma is fine
"Hey look Steve! This box is full of blankets! This will be great for the folks back at camp"
*hours later*
"SMALL POX EVERYWHERE FUUUUUU"
Griefing, 18th century style.
So basically, zombie Oregon Trail
I'm fine with delays, a more polished product is worth the wait.

That's the thing, you can't have a game where the endgame is just "get good items", that's not an endgame, that's just you getting prepared for the whatever endgame the game gives you and currently in DayZ, the preparation is all there is.

Well that is kind of the point of a survival game. With a game like this their should be no set end game only what the players want to be as an end game.
If that if creating a camp filled with cars and weapons and all the stuff in the game then let that be it.
And if players find it let their be a clan war on the server.
