But for me, EVE Online surely wasn't the first, nor the last to work with laissez-faire capitalism. No MMORPG could possibly teach me the harsh lessons of video game economics that was taught to me by a Half Life 2 modification known as, Garry's Mod. More specifically, a roleplay modification for Garry's Mod known as Dark RP. It was from a simple sandbox game that I learned how illegal weapon and explosive markets worked, how to scam and bribe authority folk, and the beautiful lessons of everything capitalism.
All it took was the right circumstances, the right moods, and the right dupes, and I was on route to becoming an ingame millionaire by giving angsty children the tools to kill each other. Usually, IEDs! But as time went on, I learned that nothing was blissful or stuck to the game. People started using DDoS tools to perform "Stut Torture" on children, in-game whorehouses became common place, and users started to kill themselves in real-life. Remember kids... Just a game![/quote]
Keeping it within three hundred words is not really that hard, but for people like me who like to exaggerate stories, it gets really fucking irritating, really fast.
