People bitch about online only games? Then they go out and buy it, complain for the 2 days that it's down and then it's fine from there.
People bitch about games moving to matchmaking rather than server browsers? They buy it anyways.
People bitch about the lack of modding tools. They buy it anyways. See a pattern?
A lot of people will defend it and say "well, what did you expect?"
My response to that? If you support garbage products, expect more of them.[/QUOTE]
Because these aren't things that kill the entire game. I can deal with always online. I can deal with no mod support. If the actual game itself is fun and I like it then i'll buy it.
Like, if you told me you didn't buy BF3 because of the battlelog or it didn't have mod support I would laugh at you. Because if those are the only reasons you dislike it then you are missing out.

I dislike it because they dumbed pretty much everything down for the "casual masses". They've blamed the complexity of their tools on the lack of a SDK. The only thing they really improved are the graphics, the optimization is done really well and the movement seems much more fluid. Everything else? Yeah....
That's why Battlefield 2 is more populated than Battlefield 3, even at peak hours.

They are a bunch of cunts, they teased us before release saying they may down the line release mod tools and then when later asked about it after release they said it wouldn't be fair to give PC users mod tools and not console users. If BF4 has no mod tools they won't be getting a buy from me, I don't want the game replaced after awhile because it has no longevity, which typically the community adds to with mods. I'm not counting on them including mod tools either, because if they did then the game would be cracked since the server files would have to be released to the public. Plus they aren't going to add a ingame menu or anything either, since they have their battlelog thing.
If I recall, the BF3 alpha had proper terrain deformation, but the terrain kept having seams opening up. It was removed. In fact, they were talking about the new destruction of Frostbite 2 before it came out but it had fuck all compared to Bad Company 2.

I loved how you could place spawn beacons inside that one rock on Metro, get stuck inside and kill dozens.
