3) This isn't just about "exploiting a game by setting your clock forward", it's more complicated than that and actually does point a security concern.
It's hilarious how whenever Facepunch is oblivious of proper knowledge of some sort of technology all they do is act like they know what they're talking about in an attempt to look witty. For example, in every AT&T news thread everyone is like "o noes i hope they don't get Verizon!" even though that's literally impossible because they provide two completely different formats of phone service and can't merge.

There's no way that's possible, that was totally taken out of context by the people writing the article. Sending people on a challenge to find "how many games suffer from this exploit" would be a wild goose chase; there is no standardized system for these time-based events and if an exploit of that sort DID exist, there's no way it would exist in any other game that uses time-based events off the clock.
Plus, if you read any other articles that discuss the same topic, they say nothing about further exploits using this.

You use to be able to extend itunes movie rentals with this glitch.
This isn't done on the PC, its done on a tablet/phone. Its harder to clock something like that without hardware mods(which I think she used hardware mods)

Well, the script of the game obviously tells the app to check what the clock is once in a while, as to check whether or not the crops are done, so since the code actually DOES that, it would make sense to CHECK for WEAKNESSES in THEIR own CODE
