let's have scripted and pre-rendered videos instead!
Is that really the only alternative?
Yeah let's have a scripted demo that's explicitly made for E3, but we can't get enough time to finish it so it still crashes and freezes and people notice how we haven't even added proper AI yet. That'll please the press.
Scripted, unscripted... Apparently it's bad now to want to see a game function correctly? It's just laziness. WarZ shat better zombie AI out of their ass in less time.
That cross hair looks horrible, get rid of it.
Is that really the only alternative?
they could show nothing at all. i just don't see the problem. there has obviously been a demand for dayz to appear at e3, and people who are interested in the game will still be interested in this, and in trying it, so what is wrong with showing what they have?
If they're adding a surrender animation they should allow you to take loot off live bodies, not just backpacks.
People are just going to shoot you anyway. I really do like the changes they've made, but DayZ seems to me that it'll still be an open world deathmatch with zombies interrupting occasionally
Man that looks buggy. But maybe that's what made the mod so fun?
I imagine it's quite buggy given it's sub alpha stage at the moment.

If zombies were actually important, they wouldn't still be broken like they have been since the title "DayZ" was first uttered.
Looks cool, I like so far what they've implemented but the animations seem pretty bad. This is still in Alpha, so i hope the creases get ironed out in time.
There's also Day Z for ARMA III for people who don't like it; Looks pretty great to me
It seems like they still have a lot of work to do, especially with the zombies. As it stands, I wouldn't want to pay money for that.
