I played this a fuckton when it was in closed beta. Has it gotten better?
I don't know what it was like in the closed beta, but I think it's fun.
I keep getting bored of this game because of this: "You need to be like level 22 to play this level/fuckwhatdoyoucallit" I'm only level 21, but I'll play that one level where you need to kill 100 gnolls After playing that level about 6 god damn times I finally level up I play that level 22 required level, complete it. "Hells yeah! Now onto the next one-" "You need to be level 23 or some shit to play this level Fuck this I'm out and then I play again 3 months later. Really gets to me.
I heard putting steam://install/212160 into your browser bypasses it. Of course, being an American I woudn't know if it works or not. I only came across that while looking for a solution to a different problem.
Confirmed, it works.
I might get back into this. I heard a new character is coming into the works, something about an archer?

Playing on Hard Mode gives more experience as well as playing it on Season of Macha.
When I try to install it with "steam://install/212160" it just says "an error occurred while installing Vindictus (No Subscription)"
Played closed beta. It was really fun.
Yeah, the female armor is actually actual armor minus the skirt design. Both males and females get armor breakage after taking too many hits. Armor also becomes discolored too. I made a general thread for this game in the MMO section, but that thread has long since died. It's a good game to try out for those who are interested but the community isn't what it used to be.
Ha, now I can install it. Let's see if my lil' proxy will work.
its funny because the token system in this actually made sense and at least let you play for a long time, spiral knights was just because the devs/publisher are greedy as fuck (the justified reason for vindictus's tokens is korean games generally need systems that restrict a player from playing too long so they don't die)
I believe the Koreans still have the token system there, as it's required by law.
[thumb]http://cache.g4tv.com/images/ImageDb3/242854_l/E3-2010-Vindictus-Screenshot.jpg[/thumb] Wow the female character designs in this can fuck off I didn't know Team Ninja made mmos
That's when their armor gets destroyed, yes the females have big jiggly boobs. Seriously how do you not expect this from a korean game?
Hey now I have a reason to use my lvl. 30 character again for a few hours before I get bored.
About time they added it to steam.
I generally don't like MMORPG games and get bored of them quickly, but being the ~objective gamer~ that I am, I've got to install this and play it a little bit.
Oh how wonderful, after logging on, the Hackshield thing appears for a few seconds, goes away and it's FUCKING NOTHING
I remember playing this a while ago, I remember when it was in closed beta, I played it. It was fun, but back then I couldn't stand the grind. Might give it another go.
Is this the game with dedicated boob physics?
Played this game with a friend for quite some time a while back, and it's actually pretty decent for an F2P MMO, all things considered. (Come to think of it, I might pick this game up again, assuming I can find someone to play with...) My only major gripe with the game is that you have to constantly grind to reach the levels necessary for story quests, and the yield of EXP and such quests give you is a bit low at times. That, in turn, often will force you to go back and replay older missions a bunch of times just so you can level up and advance through the story. Plus, some quests require you to get key items from enemy drops. and if said drops don't turn up, you've got to play the whole quest over again. Thankfully, the in-game market alleviates some of this by letting you buy items you need, sell stuff, etc, so there's that. Overall though, its at least worth a look, assuming you're willing to put up with a rather monotonous progression scale and some bugs here and there.
it doesnt let me start the game theres just "please try again after logging through the website" written and nothing else

You can repair it in-dungeon, though. It shows your character's underwear underneath when the armor breaks. The clothing designs are normally not bad at all, even by MMO standards.
I might check this out.
I can't launch the game.
This doesn't look like the most amazing of games, I'll give it a try though.
If anyone is playing on the NA West server and wants some help, just send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to help you get started if you're interested in playing.
oh my fucking GOD i have a gnoll chieftain hood from the open beta and now people are selling them for 9 million gold god DAMN
I think it might be from inflation, there was a bug where you could buy shit from one vendor really cheap and sell it to a vendor in another town for a large sum and, well, earn TONS of money. Since everybody knew about this prices on the marketplace increased a fuckton because there's really an infinite supply of money

I know one of the things you can do is buy stuff off the marketplace for cheap and then sell it to stores for more money. Also, 9 million really won't get you too far for high level gear.

The gnoll chieftain hat has always been selling for a lot of cash. They used to be more than 9mil however, they were around 25mil last time I played. Flour used to sell really cheap (in stacks of 5) which you could then sell back for a profit. You'd get like 10 gold each selling them back which would get you 50 gold per stack when you bought it for like 10-20 gold.
A lot of people are coming back to this game, only to find that their characters have been deleted.
I came back to find out that I had been receiving "consolations" for a bunch of problems that I didn't experience, along with a welcome back package features a bunch of OP gear and a 30 day XP boost.
