Is being swatted really that traumatizing?
It can be pretty shitty for like, an 8 year old kid who's minding his own business and then suddenly a bunch of dudes pile into the house yelling at his family and pointing guns at them. Plus it's a pretty big waste of time and resources for the cops, and one of these days there's gonna be a genuine problem and it won't be taken seriously because of people doing this swatting bullshit.
Swatting is a serious problem but faking swatting doesnt hurt anyone. I personaly think it has a great potential to be funny and you guys are overexaggerating a lot Its his show, let him do it
there's still /emergency
Which does nothing.
ppl you need to understand that swatting is really AMAZING for the streamer,i mean, when they get swatted, they get probably traumatized, but they win in everyway ! i mean, when you get swatted, you get views, you get more donations,so no. I just say the truth, yeah,it's "bad" for the police,it's a really big waste of time but we need to say so. btw ppl in france the rare swatting situation reason are "I killed my wife. And i will kill my children." while yours are "I am a terrorist. I will explode a bomb." that's why those SWAT are so violents, because in the united states, the terrorists have no freedom law :p
Somehow I think most of the people going apeshit about this thinks wrestling is real too. I mean seriously, it was apparently people who visit the streamers house while streaming regularly. Also why the fuck would /911 or /emergency do anything, if they were real cops they'd already be on the scene, I doubt people are stupid enough to call 911 on a swat team.
it's not perpetuating anything though? this is no different than complaining about a joke about race or murder, drawing lines where we as individuals feel comfortable is silly and impossible because we all have different experiences, it's one thing if you don't like it but freaking out about it is equally dumb
If you think faking a murder is funny as well then sorry man but you just have a twisted sense of humour, I have no idea what the joke is in any of these situations. "Haha I'm not actually going through a traumatizing experience, fooled all of you who were genuinely worried about me!" I'd be surprised if anyone laughed at him faking a swatting then revealing it's a joke, it doesn't seem funny in the slightest.

If the latter, he could just be referencing holocaust jokes, which happen relatively often.
I'd be surprised if anyone laughed at him faking a swatting then revealing it's a joke, it doesn't seem funny in the slightest.
I did, if at nothing more than this controversy now surrounding him. This is hilarious how out of proportion it's being blown.
Oh sorry, forgot you had the final say on humor
You should get an award for shitposting.
title misleading, he didn't actually get swatted by real swat. i think this is why people didnt think this was funny and actually kind of fucked up for wasting police time. also probably why he was banned at first, because twitch thought it was real swat.

Likewise, there's a difference between a joke about swatting and then faking a swatting. So comparing in that sense is not a valid argument.
The guy is smiling when he's getting grabbed, tries to hit the officer and when hes doing those fake screams it looks like he's trying to hold back a smile/laugh. I really hope people caught on that it was faked pretty quickly. There could even be a misunderstanding and someone COULD get shot. No one is getting mad because "oh he's wasting police time".
