I'm gonna give it a shot. Probably won't buy it, but it won't hurt to see if Modern Warfare 3 really did 'fix' some issues MW2 had - and if it's as unbalanced as they say.

It has some dumb weapons (namely, the FMG9) and killstreaks, as always, are stupid (as they have been since MW2) but overall it's not terribly more unbalanced than other games.

What gunplay is there to fix? CoD has had great gunplay since the first game. It's fast, responsive, twitch when you want it to be but also accurate.

It's so big because you are practically downloading EVERYTHING aside iw5sp.exe, which is the launcher for singleplayer/specops. so you download all the single player sounds, maps, textures, everything

There's something about the levelling system in CoD MP that makes it pretty fun, at least until the end of the first prestige

I'm actually psyched to try this out. I don't dislike CoD's core gameplay as much as the excessive crap they piled onto MW2 and CoD Blops. This game looks like they have some crazy pseudo-classes going on so it seems interesting enough to try out.

Looking forward to trying this however. I was on the fence about buying MW3 without first being able to play it. I really don't care what people think but Call of Duty to me is just a casual FPS experience. Obviously Activision is filled with idiots rehashing the same game over and over and getting millions but there is no reason to change what isn't broken, especially if you get millions doing it in the process. I've always liked Call of Duty because it's easy to pick up and play. Pricey? Yes. But I don't feel like I am wasting money if I actually want it to buy it. Though, even with trying this, I am probably going to avoid it seeing as a new Call of Duty is going to be coming out.
