Anybody find the main menu to be overloaded with too many buttons? It really is a turn off, very cluttered and daunting.
How do I even get permanent weapons? It doesn't let me increase the time to unlock for.
The ones you get in the level up packs are temporary. You can get more temporary or permanent weapons from the store. The more time you want them for the more it'll cost with permanent ones costing the most GP obviously. Alternatively you can also use real money to get them permanently.
Wait, wasn't it already out for a long while? Or am I thinking of another F2P FPS with the word "black" in the title?

No, that's right, it's been around for quite some time, just recently got added on steam. Memory serving awhile back somebody ported and ragdolled the player models.
You two are probably thinking of the first game 'Blacklight: Tango Down' which wasn't F2P and a bit of a failure or perhaps the beta.
Gotta love it when blacklight retribution starter pack is sold on russian steam even though the actual f2p game isn't even there.
Revolver is sexy
But no really here is how to have fun at this game: get enough kills for a hardsuit, call it in, destroy worlds.
judging from the minimal requirement, I suppose this game isn't really heavy performance wise? My video card is an Nvidia GT520, wonder if the game will run at a decent FPS?
Will give it a try.
Interesting game. It takes quite a few elements from other games, as well as a few completely new things, and blends them together rather nicely. Surprisingly good graphics to. All in all very nice, although it looks like it's quite a grind to get permanent gear for free, but that is to be expected.
One thing that irritates me about this Game? All the people running Heavy Armor+Heavy Assault Rifle. It seems like I'm loading mag upon mag into them, then they kill me with 2 shots.
-snip- Got it working, just having problems registering an account now.
But no really here is how to have fun at this game: get enough kills for a hardsuit, call it in, destroy worlds.
1. Kill people. 2. Get enough cash for hardsuit. 3. Wreck enemy with hardsuit, do not give a single damn about hardsuit health. 4. Die. 5. Get another hardsuit.

Oh nice, I wanted to get this, but since its free now, even better.
Can't even sign up. "We found some missing information in your registration form. Please check the fields and try again." Reasonably common problem from what I've seen.
It's absolutely awesome for a F2P title. The gun-handling is a bit weak but the tight action that mostly goes on together with the insanely detailed customization really makes up for it. I absolutely hate gun customization in games because it's just a drag, but in this game I spend way too much time customizing and checking out part and figuring out what I want later and so on. Graphics are stellar for f2p as well. Definitely going to buy the starter pack to support the devs.
Your forum name and account name can't be the same.
I got it sorted in the end, and it wasn't that. Amazingly temperamental though. Tried multiple browsers, usernames, email addresses before I got it to work. One thing I did notice, if you have a space in your username it won't work but won't return any kind of proper error.

I tried to play yesterday, but the EU server had queue of over 100. :O
What's up with all the F2P titles on steam all of a sudden?
Why do people on here keep saying this like its a bad thing ?
Why do people on here keep saying this like its a bad thing ?
Steam makes things so accessible.
I tried to play yesterday, but the EU server had queue of over 100. :O
Fuck, there's an EU server? I can only see the American one.
Now all it needs is South East Asian servers,I'm tired of getting killed because of lag and I'm sure people on the other end of the stick aren't enjoying me lagging too Doesn't stop me from getting MVP though haha. Can you use your steam account to play in this game?Because I just tried my username and password on this game and it worked.Didn't even have to register
Can't even start it. "Unable to establish connection to Patch Server" For fucks sake.

I really hope it changed, having to play 25-30 games FOR 1 MUZZLE is ridiculous IMO and the incendiary ammo looks fucking scary, as in way OP. I guess I'll still try the game, but fuck I have low expectations. [editline]4th July 2012[/editline] Welp, made my account, but it keeps saying my username or password is wrong... fuck
Buying things permanently with GP (the in-game monies) is much, much more expensive than renting it for a day or week. In most cases, you'll be better off just renting equipment than buying it. Even then, leveling gives you a chunk of 3-day freebies, and you can wreck ass even with regular equipment.
also, the attachments you buy permanently will work on any receiver of that weapon type (ar, bar, har, smg, etc) so if you use multiple receivers, its worth the price
This worried me a little thanks for clearing it up Would be annoying as fuck to have spent that much time unlocking something then when you unlock a new weapon you can't use it anymore

You earn ~150-200 GP each round. Attachments is about 2700 GP or something along those lines for a permanent purchase. That's 13-15 matches. If you want to rent them for a day it costs you 200 GP, so you'll easily have spent the same amount it took you to rent it on a daily basis in just 13-15 matches, which isn't that much, at all.
This game seems to have a severe problem with texture refresh rates on my computer, and it slows it down by 10 seconds sometimes. I wonder what I should lower to make it work better... Still, looks like a nice game. The only thing I don't really like is the gunplay. The guns feel very... Meh... Like they can pack a punch but when you fire them, its like one of those silent, yet smelly farts.

Hope they do something about it though, probably not.
