Is it just me or does the game preform very badly if you don't have a good connection.
The game will slow down rather than have delays and teleporting me
-snip-
Indeed, but the rest of the game makes up for it.
Hope they do something about it though, probably not.
Oh yeah, the game looks pretty good, just that those "breaks" make it a bit unplayable, but I'm pretty sure its a rather nice game, with an interesting theme.
It's even freer now.
So it's more pay to win or less? Or not at all?
So it's more pay to win or less? Or not at all?
It's not pay to win at all, really.

There are several things that are beefgated unless you pay which are clearly advantageous (incendiary, any melee upgrade especially the breach hammer) and several items which are pay only, the most notable of which is the HAR receiver, which may or may not be the least balanced thing in the game.

Advantageous =/= pay 2 win.
pay 2 win = clearly overpowered because they paid money.
You can beat anyone easily with your starting gear.

Currently the only real problem with the game that I have is how powerful a high level bolt action can be. I once managed to kill off a level 35 dude, took his rifle, proceeded to OHK everyone in sight with it, no headshots required, did like a 13 kill streak which only ended because I ran out of ammo and got killed on my way to a refill since I'm not exactly boss with pistols
the dude proceeded to be the second best player on the server (because I was rolling HAR when I wasn't rolling the stolen bolt action)

Uh, HAR isn't pay only. No receiver is unless you count the two SMG variants that can only be found in character packs or whatever.
Damn the hard suit is so OP, right click one hit kill everyone.
Then don't run in to it
Then don't run in to it
What, I'm talking about controlling the thing, you just stroll around kicking ass.
I love how this game has wallhacking. It stops people from camping usually, and also makes it easier to set up on-the-fly ambushes.
What I don't like is it keeps sending my 1090T up to 60-80C when games like BF3 have only caused it to reach 50C.
Shit, I can't register or play because Perfect World are dicks and hate the general vicinity of China

Which is funny because their business practices (in the gaming context) are decidedly Asian.

Which is ironic because they bring CHinese made games to western audiences
(at least according to their Wikipedia page)
Fuck all of you
"It's pretty good, less grindy than Tribes. Looks great. Not bad for a F2P. Above average F2P right here. Customization rocks"
Now I have to play another game

Eh.
Eh.
To me grinding doesn't even exist in Blacklight. I'm kicking ass landing #1 and at least top 3 pretty much every single match, and I just use whatever I've got in level up packs and kicked just as much ass with the first gun I started with on lvl 1.
I sit with thousands of GP without anything to really spend it on because most of the stuff I use is already permanently unlocked, and anything that is better is still 10-15 levels ahead of my reach.
You can rent almost any gear after 1 match if you play well enough, guaranteedly 2 rounds, so there is no real reason you would need to grind in the first place. Play the game, have fun, get GP points on the side.

Both Tribes and BLR are fun and definitely two of the best F2P titles currently available but just looking at how long it takes to get things you want BLR is definitely more intense.
