I was doubtful about X & Y until a few weeks ago when the information started really rolling in.

Say what you will about Nintendo, but they know how to please the crowd when it comes to their core IPs. I'm impressed with them for the first time in years - this has absolutely sold a system to me that I would have never considered buying otherwise.

I don't love the grass starters of both first and second generations, however, I don't see anything wrong with the third generation starters.

But in the end, I absolutely love all of the 3 gens, both in starters and in the rest overall.
