Capcom are such fucking sellouts.
I... I liked resident evil 6's demo.
yeah by mass market they mean appealing to people who like bad games such as "STALKER"
literally made me speechless
that's so weird cus revelations was decent, how did they mess up 6 so much [editline]3rd October 2012[/editline] capcom just keep making cool shit like ace attorney and monster hunter, pump out as much garbage as you want i don't care
I can't wait until the market for cover-based shooters crashes like platformer collectathons did way back when. You know it's going to happen.
Maybe then we can have a rush of space sims? Pretty please?
no see what i was implying is that everyone who likes STALKER is an idiot because its a really bad game series
*cough*opinions*cough* Someone liking what you dislike doesn't make one an idiot.
*cough*opinions*cough* Someone liking what you dislike doesn't make one an idiot.
Unless obviously someone likes Call of Duty or World of Warcraft.
no see what i was implying is that everyone who likes STALKER is an idiot because its a really bad game series
That was unrelated and unnecessary, you're just asking for boxes.
Unless obviously someone likes Call of Duty or World of Warcraft.
Even then. Some people enjoy COD and some people enjoy WoW. WoW would be fun as fuck for me if I knew people playing it. Pretty much everyone I have met that has played is in a guild or group of some sort. And while not much changes from COD to COD, the gameplay is pretty fun. Running around a map, shooting people as soon as you see them, getting called hackers and gay by twelve year olds is great fun. [sp]I realize your post might possibly be joking[/sp]
Mass Market appeal worked out well for EA and their franchises.
Wow....I was planning on buying RE6 when it was on sale....now I'm not sure I wanna get it at all. Though I should probably play the demo first before I judge.
Mass Market appeal worked out well for EA and their franchises.
Actually, with a few exceptions, EA has had more success with mass-market appeal than most. Just look at their sports franchises, or Need for Speed, or Battlefield. The only ones they've (recently) screwed up on is in regards to Bioware (though I believe ME2 and ME3 sold vastly more than ME1), and potentially Dead Space 3 and Fuze. I may disagree with EA's business decisions, but I don't think they're lacking in revenue.

EA doesn't even need to bother with their sports games because they've always been reliable. It already has the audience they want, so it's irrelevant. I haven't seen any evidence of Need for Speed being marketed to anyone who wasn't interested in it already, it's advertised quite a bit but that's because they have money to spend on advertising. So I don't think there was really any attempt at mass market appeal, just trying to get as much of its niche audience as possible.
Mass-market appeal? We need to banish the AAA-market to the fiery depths of hell where it was birthed. Also, I like STALKER. I guess I'm an idiot then.
no see what i was implying is that everyone who likes STALKER is an idiot because its a really bad game series
what the FUCK i'm stunned
