They both sound bad and emotionless all the time imo.

That's exactly why I've never made a female, even though I would have liked to. Just listening to her voice in gameplay videos turned me off.
I play male shepard becuase he is the cannon shepard.
He's in all the game trailers and shit, i play as the real shepard.
Same reason i never alter the face.
Thinking I'll do female in ME3.
